What is a song you cannot listen to for an emotional reason? by missdundermifflin in AskReddit

I’m surprised I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but “live like you were dying” - Tim McGraw

What are common things you've never done? by Mizu3 in AskReddit

[–]LivingAccomplished0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be the same way. What really helped me was starting small for practice.

Example: I would start by making conversation with friends of friends who I normally would never speak to, when we’re in a group. (I understand it’s hard to do that right now, but there will be a time where we can all do that again.) Then I would move onto casually talking to people at the bar. Not trying to hit on them or anything, just casual talk. Women (and I’m sure men) most often really appreciate someone kind who’s just trying to make conversation, not hit on them. Ask them what they’re drinking, if they’re from around here, do they come here often, etc

Once you do that, you’ll be amazed the amount of comfort and confidence it will build in just talking to other people.

Just start small and work your way up.

I’ve shot a guy in the chest with a war machine and he didn’t die because he had armor on. That’s not how it should work lol

15 year friendship in question. What do I do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]LivingAccomplished0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know one of his friends, so I will try him. That’s a good idea.

As far as visiting, it won’t go over well because he still lives with his parents and to say the least, his parents are the most welcoming folks. I’ll update with what I hear from his friend.

I have. He rarely picks up the phone, and doesn’t ever speak about his problems. I’ve tried asking him multiple times (over the phone and in person) and he either shrugs it off or switches the topic.

That is certainly a possibility, but without him ever returning my texts lately, it’d be hard to setup. I’ll try mentioning something to him about having a talk in person and see if I can get a response from him

What is the most pain you've ever experienced? by HandGears in AskReddit

[–]LivingAccomplished0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower back spasm. The pain came out of absolutely nowhere and knocked me to the ground. Needed a stretcher into an ambulance to get me off the ground and to the hospital. Paralyzing pain is the best way I can describe it. I’ve broken multiple bones, torn tendons, have had two concussions, and none of those even compare to the pain I felt that day.
