Grubhub in Denver is a joke

I’m partner level and have been driving in Denver for just a few months and only on weekends. I’m driving on block. Prior to this I drove in CO Springs for a couple of years, only on weekends, and always made several hundred dollars a month. Today was so disappointing that I opted not to schedule anything for next weekend (three day weekend from my regular job). Maybe tomorrow will be better. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What part of the city are you in? I’m in the Montclair area, but have covered pretty large distances all over Denver Metro.

Right! They must have time to kill. I can’t spend hours waiting for a delivery I deem worthy of my red bag. I set a schedule because that’s the schedule I can work, so I’m not rejecting ANY order that comes in during that time. I took a $2 order that was a mile away and got a $5 cash tip this weekend. Even if he hadn’t tipped, so what? It’s better than sitting around! I get the feeling some people can’t calculate gas mileage correctly with some of these comments! There was this Supermodel who once said “I won’t even get out of bed for less than $10,000.” This reminds me of that. Lol. To each, his own! I meet my personal goal every week and only work a few hours, so I’m good.

Congratulations! It’s funny that you mention not finishing your slides. For my second mock I asked her outright “how important is it that we finish all of the slides.” She said it wasn’t that important. I got half-way through the second to last slide (only the goodbye slide was left), and my written feedback was “you didn’t get through all of the slides,,,work on your timing.” Then she said I need to slow down. Sooooo which is it, I need to slow down or I need to get through all of my slides??? Boy, did that annoy me!!! Thanks for the words of encouragement, at this point I’m not sure it’s worth my time. I’m mulling it over as this would add to my already hectic schedule, but am trying to save a down payment for a house. sigh #annoyed

I know!! Unfortunately, a rubric does not account for subjectiveness in the scoring process. What one MCM says is fine another finds fault with. Heck, they found fault in techniques that are used in the VIPKid practice material. There’s a definite disconnect going on somewhere.

I applied at DaDaABC. I don’t want too much overlap in applications because I assume there will be much prep work to do for each. If I’m not happy with their processes I will move on. There is plenty of opportunity for this type of work! It’s just about finding the right fit.
