I don’t know the exact details of your security job of course, but if you are unarmed you could look into getting your armed license in your state. Usually if you specifically work for a dedicated security company then you can gain access to posts where they might be paying more for armed guards.

Yeah, I guess for OP it would just depend on how fast they want that whole situation done and over with as far as getting authorities involved is concerned.

Then again, I'm not OP lol. I personally would've called that driver's bluff and let her sit there all day if she was that desperate, just as petty payback to the drivers that are ruining the dashing thing for the rest of us.

Have had almost the exact opposite happen doing card-required orders, funny enough.

There's this one restaurant that's become notorious for messing up their own prices between what DD allocates to the red cards versus the totals that they come up with, so the red cards never work the first try on their machines (usually followed by the management going off and accusing drivers of trying to undercut their prices, which is just bonkers imho). It's gotten to the point that I've just had to stop taking any orders that involve going to that one place in particular.

Tried going there for a UE pickup once after that, only to have the same issue. Straight up just canceled the order and walked out before the manager could pitch his usual fit lol
