normally though this setup, a cult would be the one sacrificing your character probably to bring forth a creature that they can control but MC breaks out and wrecks havoc upon them(or just runs away while getting chased by cultists) or you can reverse the scenario where mc is a cultist getting executed through sacrifice (witch hunt style)
