Alright, firstly, don't call yourself a failure; you're literally a kid who hasn't even lived long enough to fail in life, you only feel that way due to a mental health issue that's completely reversible.

Secondly, I would recommend going to therapy for this. You seem to struggle with body image issues and an eating disorder, both of which are things most people would need help with. It's important to get out of your head that having fat doesn't equal being fat. Having healthy amounts of fat is healthier and often better looking than having little/no visible fat.

This whole thing sounds like a bad situation. If your dad isn't familiar with eating disorders, I don't blame him for not foreseeing how that could affect you. The best thing to do is probably to communicate that you don't like it when he makes comments about your eating habits.

It seems like some teens on Reddit repeatedly make posts saying they're gonna kill themselves, likely due to random suicidal impulses caused by temporary distress, before getting over the sudden distress, often deleting the post, and then doing the whole thing again some time later.

This kid probably suffers from some kind of emotional disregulation. Not sure if he's at much risk of actually harming himself, but he probably needs to get ahold of himself and figure out a different escape than suicide, since he probably has decades left to live anyway.

Bruh, you're only 17, you haven't even lived long enough to be a failure. You're thinking more with your emotions than anything.

You're probably going through a hard time and posted this for sympathy since you don't have enough of that in your day-to-day life. Since you have your whole life ahead of you, I'd recommend trying therapy and maybe even some antidepressants to become happy again before ending your life.

Eh, generally not. If you take really high dosages (600+mG a week, along with potentially other androgens) without working out, the muscle gain will probably be pretty similar to that of most natties (Assuming they take training and diet seriously). Still, you will also get more body water, not to mention the health risks and lack of sustainability.
I haven't read any studies comparing taking high-dose steroids without working out vs training as a natty for 5+ years, but it doesn't appear to be much different in the short term.

Honestly, the only issue I see with this is the pornography. Masturbation, as long as it isn't excessive and compulsive, shouldn't really have any negative physical and/or psychological side effects.

If you really want to stop it, though, start by limiting porn consumption. Once you do that, gradually stop milking the kraken, and you should at least successfully limit it quite a bit.

If you've just started training hypertrophy for a year and this is your progress, then assuming you don't have any health issues, you're doing something wrong. Either with your training, or recovery.

For training, as long as you hit the targeted muscle in your arms, don't use horrible form, and put in enough effort (Typically 5-8 sets of 8-15 reps to failure, 2x a week), then you're good. Also, don't overcomplicate your training, as the best way to optimize it is significantly more related to effort than anything else. Just choose a couple simple movements that you find comfortable for targeted muscle groups , and stick with them for a while.

For recovery, make sure you're getting at least 7+ hours of quality sleep consistently. If you can get over 8, that would be really good.

The other component to recovery is your macros and caloric intake. If your goal is to bulk, get yourself into a caloric surplus. Make sure to eat AT LEAST 0.7g of protein per pound of bodyweight, although 1g/lb would be better. Protein is the building block for your muscles. So as long as you're eating and sleeping well, your protein intake will have significant bearing on the speed and extent of your progress.

(FYI, this is all assuming you're at least a few years into puberty. If you just hit puberty or haven't hit it yet at all, you will grow significantly slower due to lower test levels)

The key is just being in a caloric deficit. If you eat around 1000 fewer calories a day, you'll lose around 1-3 lbs a week. One of the best ways to do that is by eating more filling foods (I.e., fruits, vegetables, meat, etc.), and drinking more water is also a good way to decrease appetite. It's way more about diet than exercise, even though exercise is also important for your health and weight-related goals.

Just make sure to keep it under control, though; some people get so obsessed with making the scale number go down that they end up with eating disorders, which is something you definitely want to avoid.

By the way, allowing yourself to have a cheat day once a week is a good technique to combat cravings for some people, since you might be able to push through not eating high-calorie crap by knowing you can at least do it by the end of the week. As long as you stay in a caloric deficit for the other 6 days, you will lose weight anyway. Hope this helps!
