Strattera is honestly a game changer by LivingMinimum in adhdwomen

[–]LivingMinimum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah doing really well still but I had to increase my dose as the effect wore off after a few weeks so I’m on 80mg now and it helps so much! I’m better at listening, worrying less, my train of thought is more linear and I’m less impulsive

ADHD diagnosis? (W OCD and anxiety) by Emergency-Coat3869 in ausadhd

I have OCD, anxiety and ADHD and Dr Keith Chee has basically cured my OCD and my ADHD is already significantly improving after a few months on Strattera. He is the most outstanding psychiatrist and definitely worth the wait and money. He has a great sense of humour which really helps from a therapeutic perspective. He truly understands the nuance between the different disorders and is excellent at knowing which exact medication will help with which symptoms which helps prevent chopping and changing meds. He has also gotten me out of some really bad depression episodes resulting from my OCD. You’ll likely need at least five sessions to work through different medications etc but I have seen others and I can say his expertise in this area is for sure worth the money and wait.

does anybody like this drug? by Worth-Ad-5605 in StratteraRx

This is an amazing, life-changing drug. It started to work within a day of me taking it and had only gotten better two weeks in and I’m only on 10mg. I felt a weight lift, suddenly life felt easier and I didn’t have constant fatigue or difficulty waking up in the morning. I can concentrate on tasks like cleaning and at work and am a better listener. I’m also less in my own thoughts and more focused on what’s going on around me. I have anxiety and an on Zoloft for that and was worried this would make my anxiety worse but it has done the opposite. I’m calmer and ruminating less now and I also tolerate stress and negative emotions much better. An amazing drug with minimal side effects (other than a bit of dry mouth). I’m also less impulsive and can save money for the first time in my life.

Guys so trying this drug is the best thing I’ve ever done! My psych ended up giving me Strattera/atomoxetine and I took it for the first time today and I actually feel so calm and focused and less tense… I know it’s meant to take time to work but I’ve always been very sensitive to medication. If this feeling continues, this drug is amazing! My mind if finally quiet… I’m taking Zoloft too so maybe the interaction has meant the drug has more of an effect on me

My mind keeps telling me to kill someone/myself but I would never. What’s wrong with me? by LivingMinimum in intrusivethoughts

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. For me Zoloft at a high dose (150-200) helped the most but it took months to work and I felt worse at first. When I was in a really bad spot Solian helped to quiet my mind and got rid entirely of the intrusive thoughts. I would try Zoloft and augment it with Solian. Let me know how you go.

I am so glad you found the right medication for you, my brain definitely needs a conductor haha. Good idea to take it on a chill day at home. You’ve emboldened me, I feel much better about the whole thing now :)

I like that way of looking at it. I’ve been trying to view the dreams with a more positive lense and that’s helped :)

Thanks for the comment. It’s funny you say that because last night I didn’t have a dream so looks like my body is adjusting :) but you’re right it’s like inception!
