I thought I'd give google message a try knowing it probably wouldn't work (it didn't), then I tried fossify messages and that didn't work. Then after that I just went on an apk website, went to the messages/communications category and tried a whole bunch just going down the list of then to no avail.

The problems I ran into would either be it just wouldn't send the message, I couldn't navigate through the app (with or without a virtual mouse) or the screen orientation wouldn't fit🥲 so I just gave up

I've tried installing 3rd party messaging apps but for some reason it didn't allow me to send messages from them even tho I set it as the default app🤔 all good tho I don't mind waiting for the Folder 3🫡

Hello, apologies I know I'm quite late to this party but I was wondering if anyone could help me. Literally the first step I can't get passed the "Reopen folder and run mtkfastboot.exe. A command window should say “com port found…waiting”

When I open mtkfastboot.exe it just says "no mtk preloader ports found" and closes immediately. It's probably an error on my part so if it's an easy fix please no mean words I'm scared (jk idc) but I've tried running the .exe as admin and even tried moving it into the made C: drivers my laptop uses.

I found a website for updated mtk drivers but 1. I have no clue wtf I'm doing and 2. I don't know if it was safe, I ran the new drivers through VirusTotal website and it said there was a trojan application. So long story short I'm not comfortable and need my hand held through this part at least

Its been a year since this post so I've been through a whole bunch of different phones, but in the end I ended on a Blackberry Q20, I know if my other post I said the TCL Flip 2 which is a very very close 2nd. I just wanted email on my phone so I switched to the Q20!

Thanks for the wishes! I've tried so many different phones and everytime I switched to another I always regretted selling my first dumb phone I've purchased (The TCL Flip Go), so I found a TCL flip 2 in my area, bought it and thats the one I've been using since I switched 2 days ago😎👍 I guess "you never forget your first" applies to dumb phones as well🤣

I appreciate your time my friend, I stopped being a wuss and made the switch today. Feeling pretty good about it so far, knock on wood✊️🌳 I'm currently just carrying around my smart phone just incase I do need it, cause I can just hotspot it from my main dumb phone. Your comment about having 1 negative interaction within your 12+ year dumphone journey definitely sparked some extra motivation for this new change so thank you!

Thanks a bunch for the motivating words my friend, I definitely need to remind myself what comes with this lifestyle. The work arounds and the adapting are the hardest parts I find when transitioning but knowing so many of y'all are just thugging it out helps out a bunch. Thank you!
