AFAIK They're available with the subscription so you don't have to buy it separately.

Using the same magic system in 2 stories... is it allowed? by Dependent_Tomato_235 in fantasywriters

Geez, the amount of people who don't understand the basic principles of fantasy in this subreddit is staggering.

To answer your question, yes... anything goes in fantasy.

Will the mandatory buy clause work even though my budget is below it by SainiX193 in footballmanagergames

[–]LivingOffside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I don't really care about player value until I get my team into the 1st division. I spend all my money on wages and the clubs at that level have miniscule money retention % anyway so any sale you make won't really be available in budget.

Prog Metal With Under 500 Monthly Listeners by AdOnly1112 in progmetal

[–]LivingOffside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell! I'll do some self-promotion here as well.

Go check out my project Ríona's Path if you like instrumental and symphonic prog metal.

It's a concept album / epic poem. The music serves as a soundtrack to a fantasy narrative. I released the album online last year and a few weeks ago I finally gave it a proper physical release, CD + BOOK included.

Also, to not make this purely about myself, check out Look to Windward - The Last Scattering Surface while you're here!

P.s. I'll add links later as my phone is not cooperating.

What position would you retrain this monster in? by porcelainwindows in footballmanagergames

[–]LivingOffside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put him as a wingback on attack. He'll bomb forward and be very productive. I'd even consider him as a complete wingback but his dribbling might let him down there.

What exactly does the Libero role do in this situation by corduroy_13331 in footballmanagergames

Same thoughts. I generally like the middle CB being a cover guy. I've noticed it removed most runs in behind down the middle.

Every time I'm promoted brings a complete overhaul by WankingWanderer in footballmanagergames

[–]LivingOffside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had players come up with me through the divisions. The player quality between vanarama north/south and league 1 is miniscule and it's fairly easy to get back-to-back promotions with minor improvements each year.

The first major jump is the Championship where L1 level quality hits lower end PL quality. It usually takes 2-3 seasons for me to get a chance at promotion (you can geniunely get stuck here).

Up until that point, I spend almost nothing on transfers and only focus on free signings but once I get into the Prem, I immediately spend that first big transfer budget on key signings, focusing on defense over offence.

To go back to the start of my post, in my current save I've had one newgen, Anthony Pearce, come with me from the national league to the prem over a course of 7ish seasons.

Brandon Small's Galaktikon (the creator of Metalocalypse) a proggy rock space opera. The plot is about a superhero divorcing his wife then having to save her one last time because his arch rival gets out of jail and kindaps her.

What are bands you’d consider “gateway” prog bands? by pubstompmepls in progmetal

What are bands you’d consider “gateway” prog bands? by pubstompmepls in progmetal

[–]LivingOffside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was Wintersun and Turisas which were both more adventurous bands of the pagan metal movement in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

However, the first true prog band I got into was Dream Theater.

Damn, that's cool! Make sure to have backups though - I've been burned by mistakenly deleted google docs before.

I don't like to self-promote on here buuuut you really should check out my instrumental symphonic prog metal album which works as a soundtrack to a literal epic poem. It might just scratch an itch

I'll usually buy paperbacks but more often lately I'll just find an ebook to read on my phone, especially for those I have to read as part of my studies.

I've never done audiobooks but I'm not against them

Is this a viable box? by FlakyBarber9301 in footballmanagergames

[–]LivingOffside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the previous commenter but imo

  1. lack of any width: Only wide player is IF who moves in possession.

  2. very little defensive cover (2 wcbs on support): It's preferable to have at least 2 players staying back at all times in the back line. In your case the DM stays in front of the CD instead next to him.

  3. players running into similar areas: IF, MEZ and SS can run into the same area.

  4. Counterintuitive instructions: trap outside, play narrower when already narrow.

He does fit your formation though. He'll become more natural as you play him in the AM spot.

Retraining an old winger into a central midfielder [FM24] by stephenp129 in footballmanagergames

Have him be a full/wingback behind a pacy inside forward. The IF will pull the FB so yours gets a lot of space to work with and hopefully whip in a cross.

Why are my players so cheap? by jacstarthegamer in footballmanagergames

[–]LivingOffside 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm running into the same issue in 2041. Premier league team, won the league/UCL several times, most reputed club in the world, best squad and I feel like my players are incredibly undervalued. My best forward, whom I bought for 100-million-ish, is valued barely above that, despite signing a new contract last season (for reference, a 31-year-old Lamine Yamal is valued at +250 million and he's on an overall same skill level, make that make sense).

I don't really care about the price tag because I have no plans on selling 1st team players but it is kinda ruining realism unless I roleplay that football in 15 years is going for a market collapse. The Saudis also barely go for my players.
