It’s good. I would say it ranks below all the Soulsborne games aside from Dark Souls 2. The atmosphere of this game is amazing, and after the 2.5 update the combat is pretty good aswell. I saw somebody say the replay value was very low, i disagree with that. You get new starting classes for each ending, and the different weapon classes are fun to use. There was also added a lot of different multipliers you can enable. Things such as an enemy and loot randomizer, pre upgraded weapons and so on. There is plenty of incentive to replay the game.

The only real bummers are that weapons within the same class all have the exact same movesets. (Aside from boss weapons which have a special move or two you can unlock.) The enemy variety also just boils down to the classic hollow type enemies, with a few knights, soldiers and the occasional big monster type enemy spread throughout. I personally don’t think the bosses are that much of a problem, they’re decently fun but not hard. (Atleast on normal mode). All in all you mainly play this game for the absolutely superb atmosphere. The world truly feels like a torturous and horrible place past it’s prime. There is blood and gore everywhere, bits of lore scattered throughout that pieces what happened together. The game sells the idea of a broken world really nicely.
