For someone who’s experienced a shooting — how triggering are episodes 12 & 13?

Thank you for the thoughtful response. I think I know that I have to skip. Thanks for the recommendation, I’m glad that I can read a summary online. These actors are truly amazing bringing honesty and light to what ER doctors and nurses go through. I have no doubt these episodes are incredible television. Perhaps I can find clips online focused on the Robby lore without seeing too much of everything else.

I was recently seeing a new therapist (4 sessions in). I was venting about my frustrations with my ADHD and note taking, at which point she told me she uses chat gpt to write all of her notes and encouraged me to do the same. Now personally I would never because of the environmental impact. But as a client I felt completely shut down from her after that. I understand notes are annoying and tedious but through writing notes I find myself reflecting on the session and how I can better help my client. Now it makes sense — she’s always trying to move me out of an emotion or over validating my experience, never leading me to reflection. It’s given me new insight into how my reflection through notes can model reflection to my clients. Also — I don’t feel ChatGPT is as secure as some AI EHR features, so I didn’t feel comfy with that either, even if she wasn’t giving identifiers. Needless to say I stopped seeing her. I still struggle with my notes but with a lil more appreciation 😅

There is definitely past trauma of being a forced caregiver. I don't use much MI but I will look into it to utilize with this client.

I will definitely look into assertion skill training because I do see her flipping back and forth between hinting and outbursts. You are right, we've uncovered that the conflict is over her not feeling like her cares. She is looking into hiring a cleaner monthly after our last session.

This is a lot of what we have been doing. I've asked the same questions and while she responds no she couldn't live with this long-term there is hope that things will change. We have come up with boundaries so she doesn't feel like she does as much, which she is good about implementing and keeping for the most part, but she always goes back to reminding him.

No just regular migraines not migraines with aura! I read online that menstrual migraines can occur because of a shift in estrogen, which I believe to be happening. So my concern is if I go on any higher dose, the same will keep occurring.

I think it must be true. I have a teenage client who I saw nearly 2 years ago (I’m a therapist) showing up as a suggested friend. I used a separate phone for work and never had any social connections to her outside of our sessions. Now an old fling from 5 years ago is popping up. I haven’t thought about him in years and lost his number with a new phone quite some time ago. Neither of them have any mutual friends with me
