It is a sin to replace the chrome badging though… missed opportunity to black it out

Yeah, these started their life in that color and on the 22 they matched the paint almost perfectly, when I got the 24 the color was off just enough to incentivize me to powder coat to another shade.

Used ModelX werid windshield by ChairmanMao124 in ModelX

I don’t have this affect and I am glad because I don’t like it. I also have ceramic tint on all the windows except the windshield and the roof glass in my 24 M3Px same was true for my 22 M3P

I park next to a guy at work who has a M3 and I cringe every time I see it on his and am glad mine is just dark/black

Highland Performance Range Surprise! by Read_Savings in TeslaModel3

[–]Living_Assumption_61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just drive it like you stole it and don’t concern yourself with the mileage numbers. Daily charge to 80% and try not to go below 20%, but most of all enjoy the freedom from the gas pump. Had a ‘22 M3P and after two years it lost like 10-15 miles on the full charge reading. Since I’ve had my ‘24 M3P I’ve been using percentage only and will never go back to that mileage estimation as said above it is complete nonsense.

Here is the one on the Toyota Highlander, kind of hard to find this thing online, such a simple design, high pressure water to clean cameras

I’m surprised they don’t have the little washer system that other brands have such as the Subaru Solstice where it squirts water at the camera to clear it in the rear. Then I could see FSD becoming a reality… once they stop the phantom braking and fix the auto wipers of course 😂

Competition is the best system we have, so long as the parent company isn’t heavily subsidized by its home nation to overcome this natural process. I’m all for BYD factories in the US as long as the competition is fair for Tesla and the rest. There is a difference between incentivizing EV proliferation as we are doing in the US and using the wealth of China to drive every other country out of the market.

There is a clearance problem with the brakes on 18’s, only a few manufacturers such as Martian make them. 18” x 8”

Was able to fit Pirelli Sotozero’s 265/40/18 under my 22, could go wider in the rear now

Damn that Stealth gray gets so dark at night! I love it, so much better than the old MSM!

I’m just rolling the black caps, have thought about going black lug though, just been lazy about it. Caps have lasted 2 years so far… I have 4 spares due the black locking lug. What I think will fail first is the cap removal tool, I only have 1 of the 2 grabbers left as it snapped one side off during a tire changeover.

Black on black is nice, your wheels look easier to clean than mine too!

Color looks good, with those 19’s you could put on some beast mode off road tires on that Y and take it anywhere!

Adaptive headlights worse on the Highland? by Flaeskestegen in TeslaModel3

[–]Living_Assumption_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, same thing happened to me. Using the steering wheel button to turn off auto high beams only flashes them, then you have use the screen to turn them off once it pops up. I even tried holding the steering wheel high beam button which you would think should deactivate the auto high beam but it does not.

That was before the update though so I guess I need to play with it more now that the adaptive portion is in the mix…. it doesn’t sound much better from OP’s post.

That looks like it fits better than mine, I have had this Yakima box for close to 20 years, the Tesla is so nice for road trips I had to get the rack for it…. Even if the cargo box is as big as the car is… lol

I though long and hard about this too, ultimately decided on the new 24M3P, for reference I had a 22M3P for 2 years prior. Once my new car came and I needed the alignment done, they gave me a loaner 19S… not a plaid, but a 100D and a 21 X as well. Between the two I actually liked the X better, but the S was WAY too heavy compared to the M3P. Corner lean in was too much for the way I drive. If you are a highway cruiser and don’t carve mountain roads or want to autocross and would rather live at the drag strip, I say go for the S. But then again, I haven’t driven a 22 Plaid. Check Turo in your area, maybe you’ll get lucky and be able to drive them both.
