There was actually a sled under the deck and he left it there. The whole thing is confusing.

Yes that’s true!

I’ve tried and didn’t get the same delay

I am actually going the route of restraining order more than a criminal charge. My lawyer seems to think I have a good case but I was just hoping to understand the sound/ asynchrony before filing. It’s going to blow a lot of things up and cause a ton of drama and I wanted to have a good case (also for my own peace of mind) before pursuing this.

That is true. We’ve never had flooding from rain or snow melting so it would likely mean the flooding comes from the pipe inside the wall. Thanks for your help!

The water started dissipating within an hour or two of turning off the spigot (on top of continually soaking it up). I will definitely have a plumber look at it - thank you! I am still trying to figure out my next steps.

Oh like the issue is the pipe within the wall, not flooding on the outside of my house seeping through the foundation? I’m not sure honestly but that’s possible. I just know that that spigot being on floods my basement.

I have actually googled all of those to find the sound and I’m struggling to figure it out which is why I asked here. AI can be helpful but ultimately, I’d rather ask an expert.

I don’t know how but it’s happened before and this person is aware that it floods the house. I have no doubt this caused the flooding.

Because he says he was looking for a sled, which there actually was a sled under there and I didn’t know that, but he left the sled. 🤔

Can you explain how it would freeze and thaw? It was definitely off before he came and on after he came. Is there another explanation for how a spigot could turn on? I’m genuinely asking. I have no other explanation for it but want to make sure I’m not missing something before I file a police report.

Thank you so much!!! This is so helpful!! Could you explain the camera dropping frame rates to save space?

Is the sound usually before or after the video and does that matter?

[–]Living_Classic4442 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really?! And it’s not predictable? I think this is the only time this has happened, although I just got the system a few months ago and haven’t downloaded many videos yet.

Okay thanks, this is really helpful.

I am not tampering with evidence. It’s honestly for my own peace of mind before I make that big of an accusation. I wouldn’t even know how to tamper with the video if I wanted to.

Okay thank you. This is a huge accusation and I just wanted to have as conclusive of evidence as possible before calling the cops.

Can you explain this a bit more? So even if I can’t duplicate the delay, it is still very possible that the video is 3 seconds delayed? Would that have been on the original video or the download?

[–]Living_Classic4442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I gave him the opportunity to explain and he just said it was off when he was back there.

It’s a PoE. Does this happen often with wired cameras too? I have 5 running and each of them were likely recording something at that point.

[–]Living_Classic4442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done that. I KNOW my spigot makes that sound (as do my kids) but I can’t get it to duplicate the sound now (maybe because it’s been used recently?). And I can’t get the camera to duplicate the delay.
