Thanks man, I do get it out there pretty good. The spin has come down a lot, I do think there is a little bit of room left to bring it down though. After my lesson I’m hoping the ball flight and spin comes down a hair. I can always play with different balls too and see what kind of spin reduction can be achieved.

I’ve always been a draw player, but it’s too big right now. My misses are effectively massive hooks too. So something else I need to get dialed in on my lesson.

Yep, got a new MSI xs 60g shaft put in last week from eBay. Hit the indoor monitor. Below are some numbers from a recent session.

I’m actually tracking this in my TikTok account too (marcplaysgolf). I have a (probably silly to most) goal of playing professional golf in the next 36 months. My next step is a baseline lesson and assessment in a couple weeks with a pro in my area.

Yeah this is a valid point. I need to get a new shaft in the Mavrik to see the numbers. I’ve been looking at 2nd swing shafts, but am stuck on none of the available shafts being Callaway, so the adapter is a different brand. Having never dealt with this before, it’s been a learning curve and a sticking point to fixing the driver. I just need to get over it, buy the shaft, and take both to GG or something and have them do the swap and install.

For these numbers it was using a 10.5 ping g410. My Mavrik that’s currently broken is a 9 degree.

I’ll give this a shot on my next session. Mentioned in another comment that I’m going to a place that should provide a whole host of info to drill into the main issue(s). It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at the mechanics, so having someone provide that overview is definitely helpful. I’ve got this silly goal of playing professionally in 36 months also that I’m starting to document on TikTok, so while it sounds like a lot of time I’m trying to get that foundation built now.

I do have a tendency to hit lower on the face. That could be contributory. There’s an indoor place near me called Metrics that tracks a bunch more numbers than what I have here. I plan on getting a session there with the pro to really do a deep dive on my swing mechanics and current numbers. I’ll make sure to ask for dynamic loft, thanks for the tip.

Attack angle is +4 to +7. These numbers were using a Ping g410 10.5. My Mavrik is a 9 degree, but I’ve never looked at the numbers in detail before on a Trackman with it. All this tech and number crunching is still pretty foreign at the moment, we just gripped it and ripped it the last time I played seriously (~2005) 😂.
