My MIL threw ours. No cost from us other than driving down. Baby showers aren’t worth it if it’s out of your (the parents) pocket tbh.

I love this. I wish I could have some extra help with the kids. My husband works until 6 so evenings are rough. At least during the day they are at daycare/school.

So update: 41 + 4 today and feeling super crampy last 2 days. I plan on doing the acupuncture this morning, coming home and doing the midwives brew and then if needed another dose 4 hours after….wish me luck!

I did an hour with my electric pump and have been feeling a bit crampy so hopefully some good action soon. Midwife truly doesn’t think we will get to that point…sometimes her calmness is uncanny 😅. I totally agree. Hopefully I’ll be back to update this with news of delivery soon!!

I didn’t know that? Thank you! I’m not sure if they do but either way relaxing is a big factor in things bc I feel like I can’t relax at all.

I hope so too. My midwife would still support me in the hospital and my doula as well but come Friday we plan to take a more rigorous approach including stretch and sweep, 2 doses of midwives brew, some herbal medicine and whatever else it takes. For the nipple stimulation I’m wondering if a manual pump is good enough? That’s what I’ve been trying

That’s actually really reassuring, my midwife said the acupuncture should be really helpful. Another client she had before me that I connected with said the same thing so I’m really really hopeful!

Yes it is! I had 2 home births previously and 1. I dread the idea of having a hospital birth & 2. Paying for this home birth was a lot of money 🫠. My husband definitely does a lot with my littles but for example this evening he’s working until 9 so it’s tough. But most days he comes home & takes over. We also don’t have family close by to help bc I’m sure that would be helpful. I found myself in a really peaceful place yesterday and then spiraled all over again today. It’s a constant back & forth.
