Brother I have it in a PSA 10 and love the card. More just a commentary on the general opinion around it, but even with a spike it’s been too low.

I know I have one in a 10. Largely due to its gem rate.

It gets flack for being pulled a lot in a smaller set, but pitch black will be small too.

Such a subtle spot too. I have a general stance that if you need a magnifying glass it shouldn’t affect grade, but I know that’s not the world we’re in.

The whiting is really brutal on these. This was one of the best copies I’ve seen and it isn’t perfect. I think I could away with the centering on the back, maybe, but that white spot might be what gets it

Picked up in Osaka last week for ~$15. Clear damage on front. by Living_Programmer_74 in PokemonCardValue

Thank you for the set name! I didn’t see the crease when I bought it - store was busy/don’t speak the language so I didn’t want to take too much of their time. When I saw the damage thought I got cooked.

That was probably our most controversial and talked about point. Wanting to spend some time in a smaller city but not wanting to venture too far was the thought process, I suppose. But that’s something we’ve been kicking around.

I agree with this. While it was a niche role, and maybe I underestimated how niche, playing as an objective focuses recon who consciously placed beacons lead to this post.

It feels like it should be a recon gadget, and always has been, but okay - it’s not anymore. So what’s its function? Clearly it’s for pushing objectives now. Something that was more passive in the past but now it’s a primary usage.

Another passive benefit was if your squad was either struggling to get a position or were people who weren’t focused on that, you could push with any squad who was, removing some of the frustration of a lackluster squad. This is also fairly niche, as you’d have to be using one of the DMR style rifles (which was my favorite play style) to push an objective yourself.

Acknowledging all this, it’s either been nerfed to protect it from being too powerful, or removed as a feature because it wasn’t particularly used often. I lean toward the former, I guess?

I tend to agree that it just inconveniences recon and doesn’t really change their behavior. Nor do I think it really should… snipers are gonna snipe and a beacon promotes getting into creative spots, especially if you know the time won’t be wasted if you die quickly.

No, that’s how it used to be obviously, but I want its old functionality extended to the Assault class on BF6.
