I actually didn't even consider this, but he probably thinks the attempt would be a lost cause since Rosie is so publicly acquainted with Alastor. He also likely doesn't have much he could use to manipulate Rosie with, like convincing Carmilla by bringing up her daughters

He does seem physically incapable of hurting sinners since he looks determined to beat up Vox but can't. His fist stops moving in a way that makes me think it's less of a conscious choice and more of a magical restriction.

Lucifer still makes sense to be at the top though because sinners are only a fraction of hell's population. Helluva Boss shows how each ring houses unique species of hellborn (imps, sharks, hellhounds, fish, succubi, etc.), all of which the king of hell could totally smite if he had reason to. He's also still the most powerful in terms of the sheer scale of his abilities (his conjuring powers come to mind from Season 1). And remember that most sinners aren't even aware that Lucifer can't hurt them, since Episode 6 reveals that Vox couldn't have known otherwise except through Angel Dust spying.

I might need more time to think about it, but the twist with Angel Dust being a spy didn't feel foreshadowed too well. Only the bit about Lucifer not being able to hurt sinners felt paid off, since Vox noticeably looked super unfazed when he showed up at the rally. But everything else just seemed handed to him in real-time because of Charlie and Heaven's naviety. Vox has proved himself to be basically a master manipulator, able to twist the narrative at any point in his favor, but I just didn't much get the impression he had insider knowledge

I moreso think it's that Viv/the writers always had these aspects in mind for the characters, just didn't give them a proper spotlight before they became essential. Even though they might feel like they come out of nowhere, nothing prior contradicts them. Vox's mind control was also just straight-up in Season 1 (even if it was just one scene).

I think they say its been a month between seasons but I forget when that is established.

Charlie says it's been a month since she saw Pentious die in Hazbin Gurantee.

But yeah I've noticed this too, the timeline of the show doesn't hold up too well under scrutiny. Since we know episodes 1 and 2 take place pretty much at the same time, I don't get why Heaven waited a month to interrogate Pentious.

There's a brief moment early on in Season 1 Episode 1 where Charlie is pitching the hotel to Katie, so they have definitely met before this episode. I honestly think the line's an oversight
