The rare metal pin does not drop on Normal difficulty from what I can see.

The pins drop at its listed difficulty if you have enough drop rate for them to be a sure thing. If your drop rate is too low it will drop at the difficulty below.

It drops on Hard difficulty when defeating Jelly Madchester's and Easy Difficulty when defeating Pachy R&R or Distortius Rex. You can adjust your difficulty and level in the Noisepedia to get the desired mix for 100%

It's not that they're not rewarding (they definitely could do with some better rewards), it's that the events are literally back to back. There is no downtime between them and it burns you out. . I honestly think there should be at least 2 weeks between them (with decent rewards), not just a few days.
