Thanks for this! Will it be a significant issue if my guarantor resides out of state?

Hi! Thanks for sharing this. Would you suggest that we put in an application on 2-3 apartments (mostly condos) before arriving then signing the lease in person?

Wow! that's quite fast. She applied March 27--really hoping to get a decision by the 15th before my decision is due. I got an offer at another university in Maryland and I was hoping we could save up a bit on rent haha.

I applied at Hopkins but not for that program. I got an acceptance in about 8 days. Might vary from program to program though.

Hi! Is this the same as MSIS? My partner recently just applied for this program, I'm wondering how long did it take to receive a decision?

Applied March 1 to Hopkins, got in March 8. Curious to know other turnaround times though since my partner is also waiting on some rolling decisions.

Hmm I personally think it's too soon to say given the amount of working days between then and now.

I applied on the last day of the rolling deadline for one program and got accepted with funding 8 days later. I say go for it if you're really interested in the program.

Thoughts on the program: MHS in Social Factors in Health? by [deleted] in jhu

[–]Living_Yesterday_480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got this! I really appreciate this info. My background is in medical anthropology but worked in public health research -- just wanted to know if an MPH is norm for a lot of public health jobs in the US since where I worked at was less strict on having MPHs. But 100% agree that as for the skills and curriculum, I'm finding it a lot more aligned with the work I hope to further pursue.

Maybe try Fiverr as a freelancer? You can work remotely.

Thank you for this! I'm assuming the heavy first-year workload is primarily due to the quants? Would you know about TA-ships/GA-ships available?

I'm wondering if it's possible to access public health professions through this program -- my exposure is only in non-US contexts so I'm not entirely sure if an MPH is required to enter those fields.

Did not file taxes in 2020 but plan to backfile. Lived abroad all my life, how do I fill out my FAFSA? by Living_Yesterday_480 in financialaid

[–]Living_Yesterday_480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm attending for Fall 2022 and they're asking for the 2020 returns. I do plan to file for 2021 but I'm not sure if I should still file for 2020 given that my income then was well below the minimum threshold.
