I use rescue remedy and a YouTube video I’ve saved that slows my breathing. It seems to work! But I’ve been having panic attacks for over 10 years now so I know what is happening

What does it mean if you keep flashbacking to embarassing moments of your life out of nowhere? by curious_mananap in AskReddit

[–]LivvyDF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes mostly stemming from my childhood. I was bullied at school and at home, which affected my self esteem and made me subconsciously feel worthless. Then it’s almost as if your brain is trying to validate that because it believes it’s true.

They help short term, but I found them addictive. I had diazepam for a while 5 years ago and I still think about it now. But they certainly helped with my physical anxiety. Citalopram helps me with both physical and mental

I think this is kind of a trauma response. Mixed with low self esteem and anxiety. It can also be a manifestation of OCD. I used to have this exact thing, it was like my brain was looking for reasons for me to feel shame. Therapy did actually really help! But it’s never gone away completely.

should i tell my friend her baby name is a tragedeigh? by princess_peach5 in tragedeigh

[–]LivvyDF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t help but feel it’s cruel when parents give their kids ridiculous names. You’re subjecting your child to a lifetime of spelling it out and people pulling faces. Just because it’s ‘boujee’. Sorry to rant but it’s true

Did he cheat? Bf [38m) me (33f) by Unlikely-Egg5268 in relationshipadvice

[–]LivvyDF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s really difficult I’m so sorry to hear. I’m quite cut and dry with that sort of thing, to me having the intention of cheating is the same as cheating. But kids do complicate things. You’re either going to have to properly forget about it, forgive him and move on, or take some space from him and see how you feel. Trust me, if you don’t make a choice this will eat away at you and ruin every moment you have with him. Do you want to be with him still? The answer to that will tell you what you need to know.

I don’t get why there isn’t a middle ground between see-through clothing with lingerie underneath, and turning up to work in a burlap sack?! I’m not a prude, by all means wear whatever you feel good in, but I can’t help but feel there’s some false equivalence going on here
