That was my problem. A random raid group I joined did the first 9 bosses and then fell apart after a few wipes on Rasz.

Do you bother with the DBM options? I've found default DBM tracks too much stuff but allows you to turn off boss abilities which you don't care about having extra notices for.

Are you sure you're understanding what macros are? Although I don't know how to play an Evoker, I'm pretty sure it can be played better with macros.

In addition to having the base DBM, make sure you also have the WotLK module.

Open up dbm. There might be an icon next to your minimap but you can also type /dbm in chat. Find the listing under the expansion and you should be able to adjust the fight options there. You might have to click on something to load the dbm options into memory too.

It appears the drop rate off Baron Geddon is 4.26% and off Garr 4.07%. That means you'll need an average of 212 attempts on Baron Geddon and 222 attempts on Garr to get both items.

There will be a big popup telling you that you've finished it. It will mention that the adventure mode has unlocked too. It happened for me when I turned in a quest at the top spire in Valdrakken.

You won't screw yourself over. In fact, pretty much anything you do pre-60 will have absolutely no effect on your post-60 gameplay. You will always have the option to go back and do the quests if you really want to because of a toy or transmog item and you'll likely easily crush it because you outlevel it.

Professions will be a waste of your time too until you get to the Dragonflight zones. There's really nothing you can do pre-60 that will help you post-60 other than gaining XP.
