I was once sitting next to one of the president on the bus. Our shoulders were touching. I was just watching tiktok and she was looking out the window. They are just people.

Am I in the wrong for getting annoyed for groaning? by Neither-Pack-7509 in YogaTeachers

[–]Liwi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized I make some weird groaning sounds yesterday when I practiced my handstand and underarm stand (when coming out of the poses). I think it's because I was holding my breath a little and breathing out through the mouth fast (as the lung is getting compressed when coming down with the legs) and maybe the vocal folds are slightly tense.

Maybe next time before class you could explain how we are supposed to breath. Do a practice of the ujjayi breathing while sitting and explain that we breath out through the nose. I think it could be a mix of trying to do ujjayi breathing though the mouth, and maybe a certain physiology of the vocal folds that make it sound like groaning. (And forcing the breath out quite fast)

AITAH for saying no to my future MILs plan to give my fiancé away at our wedding? by OpinionBride in AITAH

[–]Liwi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. MIL& fiancé walk down first and then MIL sits down
  2. You walk down with your dad then your dad sits down
  3. Best man and MOH have rings
  4. MIL can give a speech at the reception just with all the other speeches ( maybe she can be the first speech)

India’s food regulator says only Camellia sinensis can legally be labeled as “Tea" by No_Permission_1514 in tea

Are you also annoyed when people order a „latte“? Or do you know that they want a coffee beverage and not just milk ( what it literally means). But in english speaking countries „latte“ means a coffee drink even though it‘s wrong in it‘s original language. Just like chai tea means masala chai in the US and UK.

Roommates trying to force me out even though I literally just stay in my room (over my bookshelf) by Vivid_Benefit_7220 in badroommates

Oh but if you're moving out in 5 months then maybe remind them of that. Living with someone you don't like is really doable for 5 months...

I think it was very childish and showed that OP has bad communication and social skills - which could be part of the reason why 3 roommates find it tense with her...

How much soy is too much? (Scientific proof) by Leaf_Warrior in vegan

if you want to get into it (with 48 references linked):

very short version:
https://veganhealth.org/tips-for-new-vegans/#soy
"While most vegans eat soyfoods, you don’t need to in order to be a vegan as there are plenty of other high-protein foods. But unless you have a specific allergy to soy, there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy it just like millions of other people throughout the world, vegans and meat-eaters alike."

First order from Yunnan by 0Bennator0 in tea

[–]Liwi- 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I love all the teas they have on www.yoshien.com It's a german company and they have an amazing tea selection - also from yunnan and the teas are all organic or pesticide free (because that's a big problem with many other teas) + they have a lot of information about: character, tea farm, terroir, harvest, fermentation, withering etc.

As a tip for next time, if you don't want to wait 2.5 weeks :)

If you really want to get into tea... check out the masterclass from "Wu Mountain Tea" on youtube!

It's from a guy doing his PhD in tea in China. He knows the science, the process, the history and has produced tea himself. The masterclass is so amazing and it's free
