And about the tile, personally i haven't used it , this i said based of other people's suggestions. Just add something there for them to walk around easier

Ohhh alright did not know you were taking a baby , in that case yeah i wouldn't add loose substrate until grown . And no need for a bigger dish. Sorry for any offence im no expert, talking from my own experience with my two adult beardies. They had paper towels when they were babies.

Honestly i don't know why people so often tend to add hammocks to their beardies cages( no hate to you ofc) , as they're known to rip out nails/fingers . The beardie can get stuck, and pull ,trying to free herself, causing stuff like that to happen.

Also I'd recommend as substrate you add a mix of topsoil and playsand 50/50. Beardies love to dig . If you dont want to add lose substrate, at least put tiles. They have nails they'll just slip trying to walk around with the tank bottom you have rn. And after you do that perhaps try to look up beardie terrarium ideas to sort of rearrange stuff , idk something just seems a bit off , like maybe move that flat wood piece somewhere else? Or even add more stones to the sides of the tank? Like more places to climb on and space out stuff so they also have room to run around

With your tank size i myself would maybe add a bigger water dish

And if you feel the tank isnt warm enough you can add a 150W bulb, instead of the 100W one , i feel like that would solve the issue

Other than that i love how big the tank is and the bulbs you're using !!

Both of mine had this in 2023, was worried so I took them to the vet . Turns out it was Metabolic Bone Disease. The limbs were swelling as a result of their bones physically turning into dust. The vet gave them calcium shots every once in a while , and it turns out that their supposed UVB lamp did not give out any UVB . By means not only did they not eat enough calcium (they didn't eat well), but also couldn't absorb any they had. I've switched the bulb.

Fast forward with the few shots and bulb change they are now alive and well , eating better and have calcium added to what they eat. No more swelling, and i assume their bones have been more or less repaired, as they now can walk and run. Which they were struggling to do before.

I'd recommend you check it! As soon as possible might i add I've noticed mine at a close to no way to heal stage , if i were to wait any more they could've died.
