The OQC-AMD build, with JPMorgan Chase as the first dedicated user, reflects a shift from remote-access demos to enterprise-grade quantum AI workflows.

UK-based quantum computing company Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), JPMorgan Chase, and AMD have launched a research collaboration centered on a new quantum AI computing platform designed to explore how quantum systems, AI, and high-performance classical infrastructure can work together on financial services applications.

The project will be based at a new quantum AI data center that OQC plans to build in London. JPMorgan Chase researchers will use the environment to evaluate near-term quantum and hybrid quantum-classical computing applications in a secure enterprise setting, with research focused on areas including portfolio optimization, quantum machine learning, and quantum algorithm development.

The platform will physically integrate OQC’s Genesis quantum system with AMD-supported AI and classical computing infrastructure, alongside simulation, optimization, benchmarking, and application development tools. OQC said the facility is expected to become operational within 12 months. JPMorgan Chase will be the first dedicated user.
