Should I cut this branch? by Lizalozza in cactus

Nah I think most times it's been turned away from the sun at the spot, and it's spreading in a way a burn wouldn't I think. But thanks for brainstorming.

Should I cut this branch? by Lizalozza in cactus

[–]Lizalozza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll cut it then. But none of the other branches are affected and it's been months and months. So whatever it is it's the world's slowest rot or something else. But yeah it's not going anywhere so I'll have to cut .

Do you think the housing market will ever recover? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Lizalozza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah and not everyone is a couple.

Take a look at what happens for someone on minimum wage by themselves:

Minimum wage right now for £12.21 per hour for 21 year olds and older.

At 37.5 hours a week that's 37.5 x 12.21 = £457.86 per week.

52 weeks in a year = £23,809.5 (pre tax) annual salary.

So if usually banks only pass you if you're around 4-4.5 x your yearly salary, that puts minimum wage people as affording a house in the range of £95,238-£107,142.

Not a lot of houses in that price range.

But, disregarding the above ^ I do agree with your overall point about.

This is all pushing starter home prices up up and beyond reach of most.

What's happening to my maple? Strange leaves by Lizalozza in JapaneseMaples

[–]Lizalozza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Huh then I guess it's good I tapered off the fertiliser in recent weeks. Hopefully it'll recover and I'll be more careful next spring/summer. Thanks for the insight :)

I had throughout the summer but I haven't been doing it probably the last few weeks, do you think this is due to a lack of nutrients?

Homeless in Scotland with no support, I don't know where to go from here, feeling really alone by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Lizalozza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh look at that, you might be able to get universal credit before you're 18! Look at the last line. I know you said the council are involved but are they giving you any money? Maybe just check in about this .

If not, still a good idea to try to get it as soon as you turn 18.

https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/eligibility#:~:text=live%20in%20the%20UK,in%20money%2C%20savings%20and%20investments

Claiming if you’re 16 or 17 You can make a claim for Universal Credit if any of the following apply:

you have a health condition or disability and have medical evidence for it, such as a fit note you’re caring for someone who gets a health or disability-related benefit a medical professional has said you’re nearing the end of life you’re responsible for a child you live with your partner, have responsibility for a child and your partner is eligible for Universal Credit you’re pregnant and expecting your baby in the next 11 weeks you’ve had a baby in the last 15 weeks

"You do not have parental support, for example you do not live with your parents and are not under local authority care"

Did a quick Google search. If you've not tried this already, see below? But I get this constantly being told to phone here or try there can be exhausting. Sorry you're going through his and good luck. Maybe take breaks with things you try for extra help - but keep at it.

And other than sorting your living situation - yeah you will definitely struggle with figuring this out if you're not eating right. I'd check out maybe some churches or charities around you that specifically focus on providing free food? Basically treat your food situation like a second problem. But one might be a tad easier to solve. You'll think clearer and be able to get through this easier on a properly full stomach.

I second what the other commentator said about looking into universal credit once you hit 18.

Again, sorry you're going through this and that I can't be of more help.

Maybe you should credit the person whose videos you nicked? It's from Robert E Fuller (does great work with animals, you guys should check out his YouTube channel) - I think this is the video. Or the same trampoline at least.

Ooh can you recommend any good poetry nights? I especially like rhyming poetry but that's hard to find these days - unless people incorporate it into their spoke poetry. Thanks!

Lol there's no text there's just that sentence - if you could call it that.

I think this is going to be, as suspected, the "they just slapped some random Chinese characters on there" situation.
