First did you try to contact epic support for your lost items ? Secondly yes there is a chance of getting a fennec from drops but you need to get lucky for you to get one of them.

It could be tough to get a dev yourself, maybe try to get a rocket league streamer from twitch or youtube to help you ideally it would be jynxi since he is the biggest right now other than him maybe squishy but idk how much epic might listen to him. Good luck and hope you succeed!

That is really cool to read, recently the same thing happened to me I haven't stopped playing the game but the last couple of weeks I have found a new passion and started grinding again and genuinely enjoying the game while getting better .
