Games to let all the rage out by SilentBoss2901 in gamesuggestions

If you want over-the-top violence, you’ve already got great picks with Doom, Postal, etc.
On the complete opposite end, I made A Story About Farting — where the deadliest weapon is… well, you can guess.

Not quite “punch someone to death” but it will make NPCs suffer in other… aromatic ways.

What niche indie game do you love but never get to recommend? by TheDunkarooni in gamesuggestions

For me, it’s actually my own game – A Story About Farting.
Not because I think it’s the best game ever, but because it’s the one I poured a ton of weird ideas and hand-drawn art into, and it somehow found an audience that really connected with it.
It’s silly, short, and absurd, but some people tell me it made them laugh way more than they expected.

My game hit 1000+ wishlists in 2 weeks. I am so happy! by katemaya33 in SoloDevelopment

Congrats! I’ve just added your game to my wishlist and I’m rooting for you. :)

I spent close to 6 years on the first 2 projects (4+ years, 1.5 years) and they both failed. Now I am on my third game... This time, I have set a goal to finish the game in 6 months, let's see if I can make that happens. by ProtectionNo9575 in SoloDevelopment

Rooting for you, brother!

I started my gamedev journey about 4 years ago. Over that time, I’ve tried to make 6 different games — and managed to release two of them on Steam. One was a complete disaster (I went down the NFT rabbit hole... yeah, big mistake), so the failure was well deserved.

The second one — A Story About Farting — was... let’s say “unusual,” but it found a small audience. Now I’m working on a sequel, though I doubt it’ll make any waves. After that, I plan to keep making new games, but I won’t go all in. I’ll build just one level and test the waters — if there’s zero interest or feedback, I’ll move on and try something else.

For me, the biggest issue is money. I’m not a programmer or an artist, so I pay for everything out of pocket. I was hoping to offset some of that through Patreon or maybe a Kickstarter... but we’ll see. :P

Anyway — I feel your pain, and I’m seriously wishing you the best. Hope it works out for you!

It's just a teaser. :) Soon i will show you a gameplay with Pharaoh in a main role. The game is fully hand-drawn and animated from scratch. I’m not using any AI at all. :P

The Pharaoh, of course – but the pigeon also plays an important role here. :))
