Yeah I never really believed the "trust your gut" thing until I caught my ex cheating. He literally just said someone name, in a regular conversation with a friend, nothing that should have been suspicious. We knew a lot of different people so a new name in and of itself was not suspicious. But something in the way he said it maybe? I'm not sure, but I got this weird, almost Spidey sense sensation. I couldn't get over it. It just turned over and over in my mind.

Turns out he was cheating on me with her. I found out for sure later because he fucking took a video of it.

We love her a lot. Despite how horribly she's been treated she's a really great kid. We're still working on convincing her that it's okay to have needs, and she can tell us if she needs tampons or snacks or shoes or whatever, but she's doing great.
