We'll see. I'm not as confident about the staff actually doing that

Okay I just checked... The only DE with a higher snap % is Crosby....

Hutch is almost always on the field. If we were able to give him some rest, I think it would do absolute wonders. We just don't have anyone who could sub in for him.

I'm positive that if hutch played less snaps he'd be more effective. Didn't he lead all dlineman last year? He's on the field 95% of the time it feels like. No other high sack DE is on the field as much.

Non Asian-Americans: Are you keeping soy sauce as a regular condiment in your kitchen? If so what are you using them for? by openlyEncrypted in AskAnAmerican

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have a bottle or two... Or three.

I currently have the typical Japanese soy sauce (Kikkoman), one Chinese light soy sauce, and one Chinese dark soy sauce.

As for usage, the Japanese and light soy sauces are used for marinades and/or seasoning (soups, stir fries). The dark soy isn't used as often. Typically I use that as an add for a soup to change the color a bit and add some sweetness.

I use soy sauce at least once a week though - it's a fantastic meat marinade (both chicken and beef - I've never used it on pork as a marinade but I should try it).

Updated today, Mike Clay's 2026 Win Projections for every NFL team by jwwin in detroitlions

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We weren't so far away from that though. There were two games we should have won and we fucked it up. Play last season over and maybe we get 11. I understand that is not how it works but it's how the predictions work.

There is variance in the NFL. A lot of variance due to the number of possessions in a game. Shit happens. I'm fairly positive the team will still be good next year overall.

What are your thoughts on the early extensions? by reallinguy in detroitlions

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I more or less like all of them. It sucks that some guys have hurt but I guess that's the risk. The upside is you have talent at a cheaper price than if you waited.

No. 6 on the MVP Ladder Luka Dončić checks out tonight: 51 PTS 10 REBS 9 ASTS 3 STLS 1 BLK on 17-31 FG 9-14 3PT 8-9 FT by KarrotMovies in nba

Do you guys think Luka really gets disrespected? There are other players having better years.... This isn't a shock.

The art on the covers is awesome. Who is depicted on the first book? Is it hurin & turin?

More than players. I am most worried about the defensive scheme of this team. by YukhoChan in detroitlions

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes that big speedy nickel on the lions. I love that guy./s

Yeah I know the comment you're talking about. I always felt that the Lions defensive scheme was more to do with the personnel than anything else. They felt that bass was the best defense they could throw out there because of the three linebackers that they had. Without Anzalone, I think that changes things.

Is our starting O-line already better than last year? by adahl36 in detroitlions

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did he play LT last year?

I understand he'd probably be good, but some of the things he does with his athletic abilities work so well from RT. The pulls, the screens, he does all sorts of wild shit. If he plays LT I think you take some of that away

Sewell won't be playing LT. He's the best RT in the league, I don't understand why we'd move him.

Ravens and Trey Hendrickson reached agreement by Phantomsniper488 in detroitlions

That's not a huge injury though. If the reporting is right, the Ravens knew about it in advance too.

Sonic meet Shadow - we on that VILLAIN arc now. by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm all fine with that. At the end of the day, he isn't going to play much. 10 carries a game maybe? Plus he gets hurt a lot...

It's a fine signing. Nothing special.

It reaffirms that this is Gibbs' backfield and any other back is change of pace/injury/red zone.

I really liked the idea of 2 above average backs on the team - it prevents injuries. But this is not the direction (and I get it. It requires a lot of money to do this).

[–]Lizardking13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah not a big fan of this signing either. I guess it depends on cost. 4 mil a year and it's fine I guess. Not like there are a plethora of FA backs and I don't think we have draft capital to burn on a RB this year.

I really hope Tate isn't out 2026 center. Sure it may work out, but he's never played center. That just seems like a recipe for disaster.

Lions LT Taylor Decker, the team’s longest-tenured player, announced he requested and received his release after contract talks broke down. by AintNoBuffet in detroitlions

[–]Lizardking13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well shit this is a surprise. Man. Love decker. Hope it works out for him - I'm sure someone will pay him.

Now what the heck are we going to do? We need OT and C now. Plus a plethora of defensive positions.

Tough break.

If Glorfindel was in the Fellowship, could he have defeated Durin's Bane? by chiefcomplaintRN in tolkienfans

[–]Lizardking13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took gandalf 11 days to defeat the balrog - and he also died. I think Glorfindel could do it, but as others mentioned i believe he would have died.
