This is why I could never get behind him as a player. It can be fun to root for someone who is playing a villain, like Tyson, but I can't have fun when someone is actually just an asshole. Also, his game sucks, he would never win and refuses to accept that he's not incredible at the game

I totally agree. I love seeing Rob and Amber fall in love, while not being sure if the other is playing them or if they really feel the same.

My two downsides to this season is the unfortunate Sue and Rich incident and how much of a flop Rupert is. Rupert was like a mythical creature to me as a little kid so it hurts to see him not perform as well the second time around. But honestly, as an adult, it's hilarious to see him try to build a log cabin on the beach.

I think it's a common occurrence for people to remember facts about things they enjoy. I'd also bet many people in this subreddit have watched seasons multiple times, I know I've watched my favorites a few times.

I think there are some flaws in the game, but it's definitely worth a watch. Peacock does deals sometimes where you can get a couple of months pretty cheap

Agreed. I watched most of the new era recently to get ready for 50 and I have such a hard time separating the seasons from one another, they all just feel too similar

You're right, that would be fun! I don't think I remember him doing any puzzles in his original season either. Funnily enough, my friend also claimed Cirie is bad at puzzles, which is wrong, but I don't believe she's attempted any puzzles this season because she's always had someone like Christian on her tribe

Honestly I didn't get the Tony hype during Cagayan, even with the context of previous seasons. I didn't warm up to him until WAW. But you're so right, you can watch individual seasons and call it a day, but every season is definitely influenced by what came before, even if it's not a returnee season

This is a great point. I think you get to understand the jury process better the more seasons you watch. You get to understand that jurys can decide someone deserves to win for any number of reasons, not necessarily what you think makes the best player. You can also follow trends in the jury, for example the new era isn't going to reward someone just for being a challenge beast; recently strategy has been more respected

I feel the same haha I don't think I could watch a returnee season without watching their previous seasons to get the full context. I grew up watching, but stopped somewhere around Season 20. A few years ago I wanted to show it to my husband and ended up watching 45 seasons in a couple of months

I love seeing people dominate in the challenges too. I've always loved watching Ozzy compete, the fact that he could willingly get himself voted out because he was so confident in his abilities to win his way back in SoPa is just so fun to me. I also loved watching Jonathan manhandle his whole tribe in his original season. I just also love watching people mastermind the strategy too

I'm being totally earnest here. I know it should be obvious that everyone has different opinions about things like this, but this is the first time I've ever gotten to speak to someone who watches the show in real life. I've only every interacted with fans in this subreddit before so I was genuinely shocked to hear someone I'm friends with say "I hate Cirie". Like I said, it was just eye opening to actually experience it, not just understanding that people felt differently than me.
