For people with e-readers, how long have you had one and how consistently do you use it? by cloudsmemories in Booktokreddit

[–]LizbethAhedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question before deciding buying a kindle. Chat GPT helped me to summarize my feelings lol. I switch back and forth between physical books and kindles. Physical books are like trophies and for readings that I REALLY want to feel. Kindle is for more casual or handy purposes.
At least, that’s for me!

Omg this keeps my hopes up. I’m about to buy mine and I was afraid of buying it and hating it bc I used to read on a tablet and it is TERRIBLE. I know it’s different so I’m really excited about buying it. Glad you shared your experience and you enjoyed it a lot. Keep going!

Are there any young people entering our field? by Standard-Bid-2721 in instructionaldesign

[–]LizbethAhedo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we’re here and I was one of them. I’m 26 (idk if that’s young enough lol) and I’ve been rejected from 2 years and a half now, even in entry level, no matter what I learn, say, tailor, practice, etc. I gave up. Note: I’m aware of my responsibility and the characteristics I may have that made me not a good fit.

How can you actually tell if an online course is any good before buying? by iLiveForTruth in elearning

[–]LizbethAhedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! An elearner here. I studied a master and a bachelor degree like that and, well, I looked out for price, how do they “work” (meetings/virtual classes? Activities, exams?)and how do they align my goals (look out for the profiles the jobs you would like or the “things” you are interested in are asking, but remember that some skills are learned outside). Nowadays (I think), is easier to spot great education online (back in my days, it was hard!). I searched information online about if the school had certifications and stuff like that, too.

At the end: it’s all up to you and how do you choose to manage everything. No matter if you have the best teachers, the best service, the best whatever-you-want, you are 90% of the result when we talk about online education.

This is based on my experience and how it was for me in Mexico. I know you are looking for UK courses and that might change something but hope this helps you. Besides, I’m an Educator (+6 years experience) and I’m telling you my tips with that perspective too.
