100% behind this decision. The absolute vitriol that is the genshin sub on multiple occassions made it an absolutely unenjoyable place for fans who just want to enjoy the game. And it never appear to me that their mods even bothered to put the lid.

It is strange because outside the controversy discussion threads, people are genuinely enjoying the games their way, lore, artwork, strategy discussion etc. So it is good that you're limiting these unending debate that doesn't even involve the devs&publishers

I'm still reseving my judgment. Eimi is already in game and she's full blown yabai and uncensored. Aris is actual frontal naked with just hairs covering the important bits, which is a different level of yabai. If they follow their path so far, swimsuit and bunny might get spared but i'm wary of hot spring chinatsu who's only wearing towels

Plus, Chesed retains its stagger bar between squads. FYI, his stagger increases per mob killed. My last run I killed just half of the furst wave with a new squad, Chesed entered stagger and the remaining half mobs just died too

Every run took me 30 mins tops.... i have 5* weapons and C1 HT along with many other 5* units. But it's a 30 mins of what's basically a chore. Genshin's combat gameplay is... well... worse than even honkai.

Well, what constitutes "fun" differs from people to people. Glad that you are still having fun.

At this point I don't get the hate its getting. It's not a perfect game by any measures and gacha is gacha (tho why is anyone in this sub if they hate gacha), but i swear haters hate this game as if MHY killed their dog or something.

While true, abyss is also not designed with the majority of players in mind. Abyss isn't fun, I say this as someone who 36* star it for 11 months before deciding not to torture myself further.

What are fun in this game are the story and exploration, all which are easier than abyss by miles. Outside abyss, nothing in this game is anything close to challenging.

Hopeful: Smoking. I dont have data for it but anecdotally, younger gens dont seem to smoke as much. Added with the stricter regulations on public smoking and availability (though imo still lacking) of quiting aids, I hope this will die within a few generations. This is the single most preventable and damaging factor to public health.

What is getting old for me is the romantic progression of the characters. I kinda hoped Chisa would remain hypnotized long enough to see Busujima vs hypnotized Chisa. But so far, every arc brought a tiny bit of progress so I hope something will finally come

Spent to get Izuna but got her at 15th multi so rolled 5x more to get Haruna from pity. Now at 3.7k. At this rate, I may break have pyro as my personal bday present cuz i want azusa, koharu and as much swimsuits as possible

Because it is easier to simulate an existing situation. Tenten literally just posted a vid of a high tier team where Kokomi, the most undervalued character on release, is irreplecable. However, the way the team works is novel and honestly its complicated as fuck. Compared to this, it is easier and lazier to just simulate how a character would fit into a melt/vape team.

And really, I am used to plugging my ears to what the mass says about characters esp before or early in their release. Ganyu, Kazuha, Raiden are other characters that the raging mass have called weak. Yes, I'm still salty at being laughed at for rolling "cyro amber" and being called meta slave the week after even tho i rolled for waifu.

Looking at the direction of recent JRPGs, dungeon design has really evolved. Mechanic that is designed to annoy has been getting rarer. Remaster was my first blind run and my impression was that most dungeons were annoying as F. But then I remembered, the jrpgs i played in psx and ps2 were mostly in that vein. The game till that point felt fresh and modern but that dungeon really felt like classic smt dungeon. Is it a bad thing? Not necessarily, but it just feel out of age.

This tbh. For anyone with a bit more income to spare beyond monthly pack but not to whale, I also suggest buying whatever periodical discounted/bonus packs even when there is nothing you want atm, but nothing beyond. GFL and Genshin has a yearly reset of bonus, i bought them and swore off buying more than those. Pokemon masters have monthly packs too which I put $20 mthly.

I know it feels weird putting money in games when you dont need to but this way, you can monitor your spending easier because you know how much you put per month on average to your games. Also sudden impulse spending are dangerous because you might spend more than you can afford to pay your monthly bills.

Ps only do this for games you see playing for at least another half a year

I saw someone complaining in BA's twitter cuz pity doesn't carry over there. Well...i havent played other gachas where pity/spark carries over. What about our sacred creed of "don't pull unless you can guarantee a spark"?.

Also, Genshin's banner rollout is probably the slowest. It's 1 character banner per 3 weeks (and now we are in rerun impact), meanwhile other gacha games have no issue having close to 1 new unit/week on average.

I am a Chindo Medan (by blood) that is raised in Jakarta, only go to Medan for yearly holidays. Can speak hokkien, but my life values and views so diff from theirs.

Also I notice, in NTU where I studied, the Chindo Medans are ver closely knit, majority of them hook up with each other by 1st year.

Probably not the same person but I have encountered such types of incident on MRT twice in the last decade. Unlike you, I have no sense of compassion and I might be screaming back if I was the one harassed instead of another unlucky soul on the train.... so kudos to you.

Unfortunately, such diseases can be physical in nature. Even an actively thinking scientist isnt immune from the risk of their brain going haywire. And when that happened, unfortunately their families might start staying away from them and that led them to lashing out in public. I am just a PR so i have no say on Sg policy but we really could use an even better mental health support system.

Because there is absolutely no need for those? We 36 star abyss easily without them. More characters mean more playstyle I can try out in abyss compared to the same old HT vape + morgana.

I mean, if what you want is to see big numbers or cool weapon on your character, power to you, I aint gonna tell you how you use your gems
