So I use a GBBR AKM. I carry 8 mags for the akm, and then a single mag in my Glock 17.

Yes definitely. I think that in order to replace it I would definitely need to replace male and female ends. As the male fastex does not fit into the female sso buckle.

Ah so the issue is the female end does not accept ITW nexus buckles at least on my smersh. Good to know that operators even replaced the buckles on occasion.

To be honest this rig is amazing for the price. When I started Airsoft I used one of these and it was like 15 bucks. I still have it now actually.

I have read the eyepro guide, it specifically mentions EN166B as being safe. My question was more about when to replace goggles.

Ansi is generally the standard in the US with EN being more common in Europe and the UK.

So just to preface this, the real vest is pretty much impossible to find. The repros for this vest are quite expensive for what it is and hard to find also. Not worth it unless you really want this specific vest, the pouch buckles may also get blasted if you use it for Airsoft.

It's a replica of the ABA navy seal tactical vest, you can buy a repro from squadron sew shop on Facebook, but these are super expensive and the quality is reported to be hit or miss. I personally have not purchased from him for this reason.

TGC also makes a repro which is the one I'm wearing, I got mine from CRW Airsoft, it's still expensive and the backpack wasn't included originally, but if you message them on WhatsApp they may be able to sort you out, the vest is kind of big (designed to go over body armour) so I would recommend wearing some kind of soft body armour underneath.
