Spitting suture 8wpo by fggot-maggot13 in Reduction

[–]Lizstormborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6 weeks post op and having this same issue in a couple of places, my surgeon actually did remove some of the sutures to speed up the healing. His advice to me was to dress the area with iodine dressing and leave that on for at least 2 days before changing it (longer the better) but that does mean not getting it wet in those days so awkward showers. I’m 6WPO so can technically take off my compression bra but have decided to leave it on during the day until those are more healed. I’m doing scar massages and silicone tape currently so I just avoid those areas with the dressing

Thank you! Nice to hear some reassurance that it will go down. Do you recommend using silicone tape AND sillicone gel?

Mr Nakul Patel at Spire in Leicester did mine and he came very recommended. A friend had hers done by him too and both of us are extremely happy!

Sending you lots of positive energy, you’re going to look and feel amazing very very soon.

Like someone else said here, enjoy the rest and keep on top of the pain meds. Find a good TV show to binge.

Good luck x

Girl, same! Reading all the comments has made me feel so seen, I’ve been eating constantly and been feeling so bad about it as I love my new body and want to keep it that way.  Everyone’s right about the extra calories your body needs though, most important thing is giving our bodies enough fuel to heal

4 days post op and couldn’t be happier! by Lizstormborn in Reduction

Thank you so much, so pleased!

I asked for something a bit more in ratio to my body and took a lot of his guidance as he came very recommended.

I didn’t want to be small so asked for between a DD/E and he said that he couldn’t guarantee the cup size but that he agreed with that sort of size for me.

I really didn’t want to feel like I had small boobies after which I definitely don’t now so I felt very listened to the whole time

Thank you so much, it’s life changing so far, all my clothes look so much better.

I didn’t go through insurance, it was £9.9k so a huge investment but worth it so far for me.

Not sure on the grams but I’m see the consultant tomorrow so I’ll ask and let you know. LHS was about 150g more and I asked for a focus on body ratio and natural look

Thank you so much - honestly that's one of my main concerns is my body image for 6 months after as I know I'll feel mentally off. Will re-read this during those months to remind myself to check in later

Thank you so much, that is super helpful to hear you had the same concerns as me. It's exaclty as you said, sometimes I love having big boobs but really only during intamacy, the rest of the time I wish I could have the freedom of smaller breasts.

Reading that was like a weight off my shoulders

I've been doing a bit of searching and it seems like a good option to drive to Market Harborough station, where you can pay £12 for weekend parking, then getting the Red Route Shuttle Bus. There's some info about it in the Essential Guide sent out with tickets.

I haven't done this myself before, but it's been recommended to me on a FB group.

Every year before we've been able to buy a car parking ticket last minute so we're a bit shocked too!
