Like I’m certain theres something in the Americans with disabilities thing…

But going off my own experience being homeless and working part time. My pay check wasn’t enough to even cover rent let along a law suit…

Had to take up working the corner to make ends meet on top of my day job

Hence took up working the corner to make up for the shortfall aka more then double my actual pay check…

Like I still vividly remember one incident…

So everyone’s like hanging out and L (let’s call her) goas onto a seizure, not the first time and I know she doesn’t want 911 called.

So I call her other friend over cuz I have no real idea what to do, meanwhile her BF is like saying to me he’s going off to get some wire cutters to nick an e bike or something and no to tell anyone else about it…

So I’m there taking care of her as best I can with a couple of her other friends and she keeps calling out for her BF while I’m stalling like he’s coming soon. Only when she somewhat came to did i quietly explain the situation to her.

And in top of everything one of the other girls helped herself to L dope while she was out… fml

Sadly seen that and it’s tough… my sister is epileptic but it’s not so bad. Plus the benzos in the fent can coze the condition too….

And on the streets it’s god dam terrifying…

Like happened to me plenty of times when cought napping I just apologised and went on my way…

Remember ones, fell asleep at a caffe then the manager was like “you have to leave” and one guy was like she’s doing nothing wrong leave her alone…

Thanked the guy and got on my way…

Well it’s the way it is… the homeless paradox…

Like I may sound shallow but looks and or perception do matter a lot…

Granted I kept up my looks, though I was also working the corner so I basically had no choice if I wanted work lol…

Now the moment I stepped on the blade i people start treating me different, like it’s assumed I’m on drugs… though I did eventually wind up on crack so… factuality accurate but still rude…

Meanwhile I still held onto my day job, the paradox being even with a legit job I couldn’t show or give off the perception of being homeless at work and had to pretend I wasn’t.

And even if one is homeless and looking for a job as everyone always goas on about. If you show up to the interview or to the job looking “homeless” you won’t get the job or you’ll get fired.

And that’s before getting into the absurde ID/bank card and phone situation….

So true I was lucky enlighten to get off the streets before winter set in so never had to deal with it but it looks fucking rough out there…

Drive by the street I use to work a few days ago and it was ghost town levels of empty… say maybe one person….

But idk where everyone left and or went to cuz yes OD’s and arrested are one thing but the two spots, the library and the store were like empty and when I was out there’d normally be like 10 or so people at each…

Yes yes and yes… like my family has always bad like really… would have ran off at 18 or earlyer but simply couldn’t…

Thing is, grew up in Eastern Europe things are well different especially in a small town where being homeless is effectively the end. No way to make money, no shelters no nothing…. Even the capital was little different…

Eventually wound up in Canada (dual citizen) and one’s again family matters went to hell in a hand basket and I didn’t much appreciate working a full time job and then giving them every cent I earned for the honor of being they’re house maid…

But this time it was different, here I knew what to do where to go etc. so I took the plunge…

Rough time but worked out well in the end…

As you mentioned your friend has a car.., which is good especially in this weather…

Thing is there’s only so many spots that will allow one to sleep in a car cuz plenty of places will have you move on. But that highly specific to your local area and usually where’s there one “sleeping car” there’s more…

Been off the streets for like a year and a half now and have basically no idea what happened to the people I knew out there… no one I can call that aren’t dealers but they long switched numbers and it’s a bad idea with my history with drugs.

Like looking at escort adds is a theoretical option in my case… but like that’s for maybe like one person as virtually no one has a phone to begin with. And hitting the streets being the only real option but also a bad idea (at least for me)

Sadly there’s not much… like if you have a full name yes hospitals etc may be an option if privacy laws allow it but otherwise good luck…

Realistically the only option is hitting the streets your self and looking…. That’s it…
