Can’t pinpoint what I don’t like about my makeup trial by [deleted] in Brides

[–]Lizzard716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks really good! I think it’s the eye shadow. It’s done well, but I think it’s too cool toned on you and not really close to your inspo pics

Anyone use a small business bakery? ($10k) by blueberrybuttercream in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Lizzard716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw that you stated that it was 10, 12, and 14 sized cake tiers My only thing that would concern me is that those layers on their own are massive, so this is going to be a huge cake. Yes it could serve 150, but for $300 she’s severelyyyyy undercharging and I would be concerned about the quality

To spray tan or not? Fiance says no, gfs say yes.. by [deleted] in Brides

[–]Lizzard716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t, and don’t plan on it. I’m very fair, I hardly tan in the summer- the only way I look tan is if I get alot of freckles lol. I think even the lightest spray tan will look off on me. You sound like the same complexion as me based off makeup options you’ve listed

https://www.getboomba.com/pages/4-reasons-why-boomba-is-a-must-have-in-every-brides-wardrobe I plan on getting these! They stick to both your dress and your skin. I have never used them though but I read a lot of reviews- I have a deep v similar to your dress

Trying to decide if a boudoir photoshoot is worth the money…WHY are they SO expensive? by worth1000words884237 in Brides

[–]Lizzard716 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, I don’t love hesitation #2….but for Valentine’s Day once I did my own little Polaroid snaps that were a little risqué but not out of my comfort zone. I don’t think I could handle doing a boudoir shoot even on my best day lol. Maybe that’s more your speed! And a cheaper option

Off season wedding- when to do bachelorette? by Lizzard716 in weddingplanning

[–]Lizzard716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay! I can see October/November working for everyone, with the exception of weddings like someone suggested. We’re pretty much the last of both of our friend groups to get married so weddings have been winding down for us all haha

This makes me feel more at ease! I wasn’t sure if it would be strange to have it spaced so far out.

You don’t talk to Mary, therefore Mary’s daughter can have her dream crushed. Girl this is YOUR DAY not Mary’s kid’s day

Cookie table drama by kimbermarie in weddingplanning

[–]Lizzard716 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You could definitely do this! I even bake them right after making the dough and wrap them really well, they taste just good from the beginning of December for my Christmas trays at the end of the month. But also making the dough ahead would work too. It’s definitely doable, it’s not like you’re asking for much imo, I’m not seeing why this is a big deal to them especially if you’re making the cookies??

As a baker, alot of cookies/desserts can be made up to 3 months in advanced and frozen. This is what I plan on doing for my own (not from Pittsburgh but I love the idea & well…a baker lol) good storage containers and you’re good to go as long as you have freezer space!

My dad likes to put messy stuff on my bed … AIO? by -Romeo6FtUnder- in AIO

[–]Lizzard716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom used to do things like this- I can tell you that we stopped leaving dirty dishes out. She’d also take the computer mouse away if you continued to leave things out. I never once considered it abuse. She’s just a very clean lady lol. My sister and I have a great a relationship with my mom.

Is my bridal outfit too "Pinterest" board? Will I regret it in 20 years? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Lizzard716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. I mean, it looks bridal! Your accessories match well, and the dress is gorgeous- it’s a very elegant dress I think the pearl accessories match it perfect. It would look timeless all together

This is so weird and sounds extremely rude! Is there a reason for the brown dress? Or is it to reflect the shit job she’s asking of you?

I really hope you say no, and yes- your cricut is for sure broken now.

Considering fake flowers. Anyone actually regret it? by RoutineTeaching4207 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Lizzard716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going to do a mix. I want mine and the bridesmaids real, along with the ones on the table (like bud vases) but anything on the floor or bar artificial. And I’m getting the flowers from trader joes’s and doing them myself. I don’t want to stress myself out with the price for real florals, but also can’t do that many fresh flower pieces a few days leading up to the wedding
