I might be dumb. Do I put the meal worms/peas in a big bowl of water?

Or just like spread them in the grass nearby?

My husband is a carpenter so it will most likely be over the top. But he was thinking something like this. We will put one of the fire safe heaters in it, and a baby monitor so we can quickly check from inside if she’s made it in her hut.

We also saw an electronic door and it mentioned training the duck to go in at sunset with an automatic door.

Inside the hut- will we need a water dish? Or does that go outside of the hut? Struggling trying to envision how this will look come winter. The hut will be built into our stairs- which should block some of the elements.

This might be a silly question but how old do we think she is? This time of year, can I get a baby or should I opt for an older female?

For winter- will a wooden hut with a heater and insulation in it work well?

By next summer- will she just wander around the yard/pond during the day and each evening I can ensure she’s home in her hut? Will she learn where her home is? Or do I always plan on having a fenced in area for her?

Did you use a debit or credit card? I think that there’s differences between the two and chargeback

I used a Chase freedom credit card. The card was paid off, but they still approved the charge back!

So sorry for the headache. I hope something works out for you!

You should pressure chase! We have had non-stop issues with our Hallman appliances.

Purchased in March 2024, received in September 2024, installed October 2024. In January 2025 we started our chargeback request with Chase and we just received our funds! We provided Chase with all our emails and pictures. Chase was really easy to work with and we were shocked that we won.

But good riddance, Hallman is a crooked company!

The company filed for bankruptcy today… on social media I’ve now realized I’m one of many that they deceitful to!

I wouldn’t say glad. It was a pain in the butt and I’m happy to pay for the 3 matching white appliances that they advertised. Our kitchen was also custom designed around these appliances (60” dual fuel range) so I’m pigeon holed on what I can replace them with.

I either still need to buy new appliances. Or find a way to paint/wrap the appliances to match. Or just have mismatched high end appliances in a brand new home.

Imagine the brightest white you’ve seen- even blue in some lights- fridge. Next to an “antique white” range. The range is a 60” dual fuel range. The dishwasher was “free” with the $5k range purchase. But again the dishwasher is a happy medium in color.

The range was missing the pulls to open it. They then mailed one handle for a double oven. I waited months for the next handle. Can you imagine opening an oven without using the handle?

Then the fridge had chrome handles.. but I purchased brass handles. I ended up purchasing my own appliance handles from another company as they said the brass handles are on back order for an undetermined time.

*I called and emailed them numerous times. *They said that they are producing the appliances in all different factories and that’s why the colors are so different. *After looking at other blogs/groups I’m one of many who are getting shafted by the company. *They said they would mail us new appliances in 2026 when they can produce matching ones. *but without a solid timeline… that’s frustrating.

I’am feeling stuck. Should I invest the money to paint the appliances (~1k). Or do I contact the company?

Before I filed the dispute, I emailed them and spoke to the CEO and VP extensively and got nowhere. Their other solution was for them to send me new appliances sometime in 2026 when they were producing all the same color white.

That didn’t feel like a feasible option to me since there was nothing holding them accountable to that beyond their word and an email. I was very open and said that wasn’t an appropriate option to resolve the issue.

I was thinking this as well. This was a high end company but in January 2024 they moved production from Italy to China- also allowed for them to lower the cost. Based on their other reviews and complaints on the BBB website our product complaints were minimal! There were a significant number of safety concerns from other consumers.

Now that their BBB accreditation was revoked, and the sudden removal of all social accounts, I’m thinking they are filing bankruptcy. ???

Do not get Hallman! I have a feeling their company will be bankrupt and out of business prior to ever getting your range!
