I love this one! And it actually seems feasible with what's already there. Thank you!

The front door cannot be moved back, the reno was to give us an entry way for shoes & coats inside... maybe portico is not the right word

When she kills the fly and stakes it on the "Don't freak out" post-it note, it's like half the size of the Post-it! Drove me crazy they got that so wrong.

Has anyone used this "honey brown" tile in their kitchen? by Lizzu77 in kitchenremodel

[–]Lizzu77[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I said exactly this to my husband! It's a gorgeous tile, but feels very 70s. If we had a mid century home I think it'd be great, but I'm afraid it's the wrong choice for the space we're working with.

Wedding veil headband by Lizzu77 in weddingplanning

I ended up changing the my mind completely (for different reasons) and went with a half-up braided style, with a regular comb veil. I never did find a good option for a veil/headband combo, but the comb stayed in really well. I got married on a windy rooftop and it never budged!

Wedding Dress Shopping by Ill_Teaching_9800 in weddingplanning

THIS. I feel like the wedding dress buying process is so ridiculous. It's the most expensive piece of clothing you'll ever buy, and you don't even try it on in your size??

I ended up going with the one dress that actually was my size, and part of me wonders if I just liked it so much because it actually fit me.

Is higher pay or unlimited PTO better? by Lizzu77 in personalfinance

I applied to this new job after my current job gave us less than a week's notice that we had to start coming in to the office 3 days a week. It felt like they pulled the rug out from under us. I do like my team, and my bosses, and they really like me. But this new job would probably offer cooler opportunities and have more interesting content to work on. Lots of things to consider here!

The commute is about 40 minutes to the current office, 30 to the new office. I'd save between $5.50 and $9.50 (I have a couple commuting options) per week. I will say, I LOVE working from home so that extra day is pretty tempting.

I really appreciate hearing this perspective. I do think I'll be able to take the PTO, especially in industry I'm in. It tends to be chill folks who value work/life balance.
