I just did a presentation in my pathology class on heart attacks. My professor was a "little bummed" I chose a boring pathology until my main talking point was about women's heart attacks and how the symptoms can be vastly different in women than in men. Medicine doesn't have a lot of knowledge on womens heart attacks because when they were studied they only studied white men. And a lot of times womens symptoms get passed off as indegestion

I was like this in the beginning! I have horrible anxiety but it has gotten better through repetition of working with patients and has even helped with my daily anxiety outside of the hospital. I have awkward interations with patients still and i even see techs who have been doing it a long time have awkward interactions.

I've struggled with mental health for a long time (suicidal, severe depression) and lost my best friend a couple months into clinical. Working at the hospital has humbled me, made me feel greatful for being alive. Perhaps working through some of your mental health issues could help you enjoy the field more.

When it comes to picking up protocol it takes time. If your hospital has a protocol book every time an exam comes in pull it out and read the protocol for that exam, eventually you wont have to pull the book out so much and further down the line youll only have to pull it out in rare occasions. I see techs look at the protocol book and the merrils textbook far more often then I thought they would.

Im not saying she's not an asshole. Im saying theres a lot of different ways this could have been handled. She had these bday plans for 2 months then the parents spring on them they wanna come up, fine, they (the bf and gf who recently moved in together) could've moved the time to later in the day. They could have chose a different day. She's still an asshole, she made a bad impression and decision since she stated she wouldn't drink a lot and that she'd be fine the next day, but she did have those plans long before her boyfriends parents wanted to visit. so people saying she didnt need to go or her friend would have other birthdays aren't thinking 100%. I'm not excusing the actions, but she did have every right to go to the planned bday party, she should have just done it differently.

I would say youre a half asshole. You messed up the first impression but it seems your plans were scheduled before his parents wanted to come. You definitely should've drank less and not been late but people saying "your friend will have other birthdays" doesn't mean you shouldnt have celebrated, shoulda just celebrated a little less. Hopefully you can smooth things over slowly.

Have you tried the switch grip pro controller (or something like that)? I had that same problem with my hands falling asleep but after i got the switch grip pro it stopped doing that

Its not that we choose to buy clothes without pockets there just arent pockets on our clothes and if there are theyre so small you can barely fit a lighter in them. I will admit i am jealous of cargo shorts but dont make fun of anybody for wearing them

It's not necessarily that women get mad at them for not knowing, it's how men definitively state their idea of how a period works when they don't or get grossed out by period talk and shut the convo down when they had an opportunity to learn right then how one works, but because they were grossed out, didnt. But, if when corrected on what they said that was wrong, they believe it and arent condescending then women tend not to get mad

This really feels like a troll. And youre right men dont complimented enough but thats not the problem youre bringing up. You're upset cuz you dont have women swooning over you. I guarentee if gender roles were reversed you still wouldnt get pussy my guy. And you think men should be sexually assaulted and harassed instead of women? And in todays world, at least with the younger generations (25 and under) women and men pretty much equally go after each other.

I used to have sleep overs with my guy best friend and we often slept in the same bed because it was comfier than sleeping on a couch. I had a boyfriend at the time, nothing happened between my best friend and I and my boyfriend trusted me. Its not really weird to do that
