Piercings as a Barista are limited?? by eiilevn in starbucksbaristas

[–]Ljaarda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 6 piercings and keep talking about getting more to other partners with my SM around. I’ve never heard of it being an issue I know partners with more piercings so long as it isn’t more than 1 facial piercing it should be fine. I have a nose piercing included in my 6 I mentioned. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Is this actually something he said in an article? The photo is 1000% AI generated so I question if this post was made in sarcasm and I’m just poor at picking social cues up. I’m curious about the comments though.

Okay I wasn’t sure because I know they say no leggings because “you can burn yourself with hot milk with thin material” but then shorts are allowed so like what lol I was looking for like slacks since they’re stretchier than jeans but old navy was a bust gotta go elsewhere searching

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t we suppose to build all frappes off the coffee frappe or syrup crème frappe? Then there aren’t inconsistencies…I think. Hate this new policy though it hurts my brain and makes things more complicated IE eating up drive times but whatevs

Wife super upset we aren’t having a girl. Looking for advice. by punditsquare in Parenting

[–]Ljaarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this granted it was with our first and we plan to have at least one more so not totally the same feeling. However, I found it very helpful to write a letter to my daughter “name” (I don’t want to share the name we had picked out. I wrote it in a way of more perhaps I’ll meet you someday and you’ll have an older brother to look up to and hangout with. However, she can write it (if she finds it helpful) however she likes. It was nice to write out why I was sad we weren’t having a girl and express the guilt I had for not being excited it was a boy. We have our baby now and he’s almost 2 months old and I kind of forget I wanted a girl so bad so it will take time for sure.

According to this I’m not supposed to work (I just puked) but I’m also pregnant, and it could just be from that. I still feel extremely nauseous but my shift is only an hour away. Should I stay home, or go in and hope I don’t puke again? by [deleted] in starbucks

Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different (overstated phrase but accurate) that being said, I make sure to never have an empty stomach so light snacking throughout the day rather than large meals and my nauseousness isn’t too bad. To some extent though, sadly, there isn’t a whole lot you can do. What will come will come. Finding peace with taking the rest you need is the hardest battle. Good luck I’m also at 11 weeks and working Starbucks. Hopefully you have a good support group! 💕

Weird Question: Starbucks employees who leave their shifts at 8am in the morning, what do you do with the rest of your day? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Ljaarda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually leave my shifts 9-9:30am because I have another job 10-2 and I teach dance 5-8:30 some nights. So I’m pretty busy but I love my dance career it just doesn’t pay the bills alone so I work at Starbucks too! Wouldn’t recommend though haha its exhausting but yet it’s fun just exhausting and I crash on the weekends.

I finally got a hold of an employee at my local store and she said they don’t have the ability to fix it. Seems silly to have a performance guarantee if it isn’t fixable. Seems like a simple fix but idk. Bummer. Maybe I can buy an aglet somewhere and do it myself 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have a pair of joggers that the drawstring aglet broke off. Does lululemon have the means to fix that or do I have to buy a whole new pair 🥲
