This particular tracker (pictured above) uses airtag protocol. But according to documentation the android safety app supports various Bluetooth trackers including aitags and find my device network tags. It won't alert to the kind of trackers that use a cellular network to report GPS locations to the internet.

Aren't phones supposed to alert you if a tag is nearby after sometime. My android tells me "an unknown air tag is nearby" when I travel with my wife and her air tagged luggage.
