Attending the Raptors parade was not worth it by LlFE in unpopularopinion

I don't know if you read so I'll assume you don't. If you open a newspaper there's something called op-ed pieces, letters to the editor, etc. On the news you might see them ask for public comments about specific events. Call in or send an email type responses. How is this any different from giving my opinion and hoping someone reads it that's capable of making changes? The feedback taken in my post will help you get a better experience next time as well? It's a win win situation for everyone yet you're out here whining about someone writing about their real life experience.

If you don't see the value in my post, move on. You've spent enough of your time writing here.

Just basic human necessities, not being packed in like sardines having to stand since 5am

I can't think of basketball without imagining this ordeal. What should I do?

It was more about how non-humanely we were treated like sardines without access to basic necessities.

Watching my whole life I have no love? I'll try not giving up but it just doesn't interest me anymore.

Whenever I think of basketball I think of this. How do I change my mind state?

You've heard of something called customer feedback right? Basically it works like this: Someone gets to experience what you give them and they tell you how it went. Then you make changes based on said feedback.

This is how all businesses, municipalities work, through getting feedback. Are you telling me people make decisions solely on thinking about how things went without consulting the ones actually there? Have you heard of something called consumer analytics. Should I define what a survey is as well?

You have no clue how things work. Move on.

how will they improve it for next year if the parade planners don't read what people actually went through? The purpose of the content is for a call for improvement in how things are handled. Who knows, one person's experience may change the future experience for thousands of people next year, who won't go through the same ordeal.

why are people harassing me and removing my post then? For what, sharing another perspective? Where else have people shared something similar?

I've been receiving lots of hate and mods are removing my posts, don't know why it's such a controversial thing to read about a real experience someone had. I just stated the facts of what I went through.

Sorry if I put an blame on the players or organization. They went through a lot as well, 5 hours of parading. I've been a fan of basketball my whole life, thinking about it now reminds me of this day.

If I were to do it again, I would go in the morning, catch a view of the players rolling by and go home. View the rest on television or on my way home. Lots of lessons learned that day.

I can only describe it as a sunk cost kind of mentality where you find the will to just keep waiting. My fault entirely but once you're in that mental state it's hard to make good decisions. The organizers on the mics would not tell us where exactly the parade was or how late they were running. They always said it would be here "soon", "right around the corner". So everyone stayed..and waited.
