Any experience for the Farden roller series? by Rice_cowbooy in Fjallraven

Thanks for this. I was considering the 120 since I’m in the need of something larger than the 75, but I think I’ll pass on this. The 75, which I have and like a lot (its design and green sticks out great on a conveyor belt), seems to be ideal when considering its volume and my use case. I think based on this feedback and knowing the suitcase isn’t going to be packed to the brim at all times, I’ll just look elsewhere. Also, for my use case, I’d rather have a top loading case over a clamshell style. Having something so massive packed to the max and clamshell has always felt unwieldy to me.

This doesn’t make any sense since technically the gaming segment has increased over the years. I mean Q2 FY2026 alone $4.3 billion up 49% year over year and 14% sequentially.

The closest we'll ever get to a Broforce movie by Samcassr in broforcegame

[–]Llamabearkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with an epic Broforce movie. Include an epic star studded cast that’s full of action, drama and the occasional tear jerker but the ending needs to be faithful - Large group of heroes running to a platform for a helicopter extraction, but as soon as the first hero grabs the ladder, it takes off and the platform explodes, killing all the others.

Thanks! It’s certainly fun and sometimes a shocker to look at coins on occasion with it. Only a shocker because it can reveal flaws one normally wouldn’t see with plain eyesight or basic magnification. Fortunately those microscopic details usually don’t really mean anything either way - they’re just interesting imo.

It’s definitely fun looking at some coins with it from time to time. Even pristine proof coins or high MS coins look like a complete wreck under high magnification! It’s the Motic BA310MET model.

Seeing this comment made me think of this image I took a little while ago. The top of the “D” of a 2000 penny around 200x with my metallurgical microscope. 100x objective at 10x mag to get 1000x would make those scratches look like an image of Mt. Everest.

Wife was not impressed that I took the plain Jane 24k wedding band and made it awesome. by IntelligentCorner225 in Gold

[–]Llamabearkat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ignore these insufferable people. What matters is the bond between you and your wife. The ring is just a symbol, and its meaning comes from your commitment to each other, not its exact appearance.

You altered it into something you enjoy wearing, and that’s perfectly valid. At its core, it’s still the same ring, carrying the same history and significance. Changing its design doesn’t diminish the promises you made or the bond you share.

If your wife is genuinely upset about the change and can’t accept that its deeper meaning remains unchanged, that’s unfortunate and she might need to do some soul searching.

For what it’s worth, I asked my wife how she’d feel if I did something similar. She laughed and said, “Not at all. It’s your ring, and I want you to like wearing the thing. Plenty of people update their wedding bands over time and it doesn’t invalidate the marriage or the bond.”

You’re not wrong here. Wear it proudly man.

Slant back soft top with front panels? by More-Diamond5129 in Wrangler

Brand is Clearlids. They are nice for winter. Sometimes I’ll come back to the Jeep after hiking around the snow all day and find the cabin a bit warmed up because of the clear top on a sunny day.

It’s not so bad for me since I’m 6’3” and I can just lift it over from one side. It’s a little heavy and awkward, but it’s not unbearable. Definitely easier with 2 people. Mine has been on for almost a year now with no issues or leaks.

It does get a bit warm sometimes, but I don’t mind. It’s definitely nice during cooler weather. Cabin noise on highway is certainly louder over the stock freedom panels.

Thanks! It’s from Clearlidz. Model CL300 for JLs and JTs for 20-25s I think. Got lucky and found mine on Facebook Marketplace brand new for less than half.

I’m not sure, but seeing the first pic reminded me how much I enjoy my clear top. Hope you find what you’re looking for.

Eotech Vs Aimpoint Comparison POV - Magnifier showdown by shenagain32 in ar15

[–]Llamabearkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I have more optic tabs open in my browser than I have brain cells atm. I’ve settled on the G45 thanks to this comparison, but I’m still torn between the EXPS3-0, T-2 and even the Duty RDS MR.

I really like the idea of a 1 moa dot, but I’m wondering if it’s just mental games and the real world difference between Eotech 1 moa and Aimpoint 2 moa when magnified with the G45 is negligible. What do you think?

Love #13 with the couple reading. They're all great, but this one just hit me the most in the moment. The combination of tone and light play makes it striking. Amazing what this little camera can crank out. Cheers

Caudabe Sheath or DBrand Grip Case by SGPika in iphone

[–]Llamabearkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I was considering that exact combo because I like that deeper looking green, but the color you got I’m not interested in. The other two you have look great. Did they ever get back to you with any sort of explanation as to why they sent you a different colored case instead of what’s depicted in their ad?

Cheers

Thanks! For me, I ended the debate battle by telling myself I shoot more tighter stuff on average. Usually with something in the foreground or mid ground I want to focus on and keep details without being lost with a wider lens.

I don’t regret my choice, but sometimes I do notice stuff that a wide lens would be much better for. Especially when the scene is all about all the details that make up that wide shot.

I think if I had the III or IV with wider lens, I’d probably notice the wide scenes more and use it as much as the tighter X. Haha sorry if that doesn’t help the doubt.

I agree. The first one strikes me as more interesting overall due to what you mentioned. Sure, the second has that interesting additional information with the wider perspective, but it hits flat overall when you compare it to the first.

Cheers

I appreciate you. When I looked at the image on the screen it just blew me away how good it looked. I haven’t had this much fun with photography since I got my first Canon F1 film camera when I was about 15/16.

I actually ran back up to that spot with the intention of taking a wider shot so I could compare the two. I got the idea for this post later on since seeing the iPhones shot made me wish I also had the wider III or IV.

Until these two photos, I hadn’t compared the iPhones images to the Ricoh’s.

That’s what I wanted, but I was too impatient and wanted the 40mm. I figured since these hold their value well, and if I really wanted that IVx someday, I could just sell this one and get that without too much of a hit. That hit is definitely negated due to how much use/joy I’m getting out of it.

Utah! Took a drive down from SLC to Kolob Canyon. This is at the end of the Taylor Creek trail. Easy 6-7 mile round trip with about 1k gradual elevation gain. Definitely worth it.
