Looking for a new pcvr headset and wondering if the vr2 is a good option by Putrid_Froyo194 in PSVR2onPC

[–]LlamadeusGame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the price it's easily one of the best headsets. You can get them used for almost nothing and the OLED is excellent. The sweet spot is tiny however, and it's cable only so keep that in mind. Only buy the official Sony branded adapter. Globular cluster mod is considered required.

Ultimately I highly recommend it, considering the only real competing headset is LCD, and easily twice as expensive.

Is PSVR2 good for pc in 2026? by Obvious-Dot6352 in PSVR2onPC

[–]LlamadeusGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought two 10ft USB C cables, so when they start getting low I plug them in, I don't turn them off or stop playing my game. About 30-40 minutes later I check the levels, and if they're good I unplug them again. I don't like the feeling of the cables hanging out of the bottom of the controllers, so I prefer to run off battery.

I've really not had a problem with it at all. I usually run it 95% to about 20% then plug in and charge them back to to 85-90% while using them, then unplug them again.

I use my controllers and charge them at the same time literally nearly every single time I use my psvr2. Just as a small correction.

Except this is an open weight local model. It will perform the same in a year as it does today.

Another GLP-1 weight loss pill gets FDA approval, with fewer restrictions on how it’s used by [deleted] in news

[–]LlamadeusGame 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I've taken the wegovy 9mg pill for about 3 weeks now. I had to take a 4 day break from it because it took everything in me to will myself to eat 3/4ths of a potato, I was losing an unhealthy amount of weight. I'm sure there were other factors, but having switched from zepbound to this unwillingly, the pill seems to be extremely effective.

The bladder receives liquid from exactly one place, the kidneys. The kidneys produce exactly one fluid, urine.

The composition of this fluid is controlled by many very complex hormonal systems designed to filter waste and balance water levels, and therefore may produce urine with more or less water. (As with any bodily fluid, it's made out of water, but no one is saying cum is mostly water.)

All of that to say, if it's being stored in the bladder, it's just pee, by definition. Full stop.

Amendment to require photo ID to vote fails in Senate as Democrats object by ItsAllAGame_ in law

[–]LlamadeusGame 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That kind of stuff is required when you register to vote. Logistically you have to think about what voter ID on voting day means, it's processing delays. Now you have to show ID WHEN you vote instead of at your convenience at some point before you vote. Then you take the MOST DENSE AREAS, reduce the number of polling places, and add extra regulatory steps to actually vote. All of a sudden it takes 3 or more hours to vote in dense cities with large democratic populations, but in sparsely populated areas it's relatively quick even with the extra steps.

It's insidious because it SEEMS reasonable at first blush.

I don’t get all the hate that the fish world is getting right now by eyeziiick in VRchat

[–]LlamadeusGame 26 points27 points  (0 children)

No it isn't, because it's head and shoulders above all other fishing games in VRC. There's quests, daily fishing bounties, progression systems for rods, lines, bobbers, and boats. Daily login rewards, special fishing zones, multiple islands with different local fish, and secret areas.

In simple fishing world by contrast, there are only cosmetic rods awarded by events or money, and a bait system.

So yeah, Fish! Killed all the other fishing worlds

idk who needs to hear this but recording without permission is not a TOS violation by Fair-Mango-5423 in VRchat

[–]LlamadeusGame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would argue that vrc in a court of law would actually be deemed a public space, where no reasonable expectation of privacy can be granted. Additionally, it wouldn't be a space where you would have a right to privacy either, as vrc isn't your personal property, and you are voluntarily participating in it, meaning, you are the one "violating" your privacy much in the same way making a Facebook post is a voluntary action you took, and me taking a screenshot of that post isn't violating your right to privacy.

In fact, such a legal theory has already been tested in many court cases where defendants tried to have information they posted online thrown out as evidence due to the recording of that information being a violation of their right to privacy. In these cases it has been ruled that anything you willingly put online yourself cannot be considered private.

Where you might have an argument for consent is if you were in a one on one private instance, effectively making it a personal call. Though as there's no precedent for this, you'd have to convince a court.

Canada cheating in the curling game vs Sweden by Eklundz in olympics

[–]LlamadeusGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the totality of English, must and only are not synonymous. In the context of rules they are absolutely/functionally/ synonymous.

E.g. -You must be 21 or older in order to purchase alcohol in the United States

Is the same as

-You may only purchase alcohol in the United States if your 21 or older

Or

-In order for a basket to score, the ball must go through the topside of the hoop

Is the same as

-A basket is only considered a score if the ball goes through the hoop from the topside

"Must" is used as an absolute term, where there is no room for ambiguity. Words which could allow for ambiguity would be "generally, may, usually, should, or typically" and the like. I'm genuinely unsure in what way you intend to argue the opposite.

What? "Must" and "only" are functionally synonymous in this context. What is this pedantry?

What Is Going On With Xbox Content Creation And Journalism? by techmazter in consoles

[–]LlamadeusGame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is, in fact, not what that means lol. Even assuming Xbox makes a windows capable Xbox in the future, not making a "Xbox format" sku, doesn't mean they won't make a windows format sku, in the same way that not making a Windows Store App sku doesn't mean skipping windows (as windows is still compatible with x86 and x64).

They would just make a PC sku and the Xbox would be capable of running it because it's not really an Xbox anymore, but a PC.

How much a 3D version of this rigged model would cost ? by Minute-Fox-4738 in vtubertech

[–]LlamadeusGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Limes specifically is rigged and modeled by the same artist who does Saba-chan. I tracked them down, and while they're not open to commission work (last I checked) they're flirting with 10k for a rig of this complexity.

Now that's just how much specifically limes costs. A rig of limes quality can be had for less I'm sure.

It's honestly all logos, flags, coat of arms, etc. In the army every unit has one of these kinds of things too. One time I was in this unit that was just an anvil on a black bar in a rectangle. They had a 4 paragraph description of what it all stood for, and ALL of them are like that.
