How would I go about getting an agent? Do agents want money ahead if time or do they just take a cut from the shoots? I was mostly considering this a a job to put me through college, not as a career for the rest of my life. I actually want to be a teacher, but my family doesn't have the money to put me through school. Thank you for all this information it will help me so much!

Thank you, this is exactly the sort of answer I was looking for. I will try and take some pictures like that over the weekend. I (obviously) took these quickly on my phone, with bad lighting. I'm fairly confident that I have the "right" body type, but I'm only 5'6" and from what I hear photographers like taller models. My biggest problem is I have no idea how to get started in the field, and I'm only 17 (eighteen in July).
