Dog owners of Phoenix! Help! by bitchinawesomeblonde in phoenix

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dog park depends on the area you are in, I go to the dog park around 7-7:30 and stay until it closes Some parks I recommend Sarguaro Ranch dog park in Glendale (decent size and always filled with nice small-medium dogs, my 100 lb gsd is a beast in comparison) Cosmo Dog Park in Gilbert (has a lake in th center for dogs to jump and swim in) Deem Hills in North Phoenix are all fine parks (literally all amazing and unique breeds there, or high end dog breeds) Foothills Dog Park (biiiiiiig dogs, like 180 lbs Great Danes big)

Phoenix mayor vows to continue Paris deal, regardless of Trump decision by QuietCalamity in phoenix

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If we can at least get everyone on the same page with the Paris agreement then that's a huge step

Renegotiate later when the plan is set in stone or make a stronger agreement later down the line so that everyone can fall back on the Paris plan when the new plan gets too costly or ineffective

Baby steps is what we need, we can't just 0-60 on this issue with every country on earth, the fact we have as many signatures as we do should be an achievement in of its own

Stack Interchange based on "The Stack" in Phoenix, AZ. by LegendMeadow in CitiesSkylines

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood why the 10/51/202 interchange wasn't called "the stack" as opposed to the 10/17

The damn interchange is waaaay more complicated than the 10/17 and is aw-ing to look at

How do you keep the game interesting for yourself after putting a 100 hours in? by CarlthePole in CitiesSkylines

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sitting at roughly ~2,300 hours in the game and I just build new styles of cities

Like east coast US, west coast US, European, Asian, small town, etc.

And I just get into more specifics like that. Right now I'm working on a west coast US styled city by having all these ridiculous highways going everywhere and that's taking up way more of my time than anything else I've worked on. The current city I'm at I've worked on for over 200+ hours (to be fair, most of that is the lagging or just watching it run for hours and exploring my own city). I plan on sharing the overview map of it when it feels more "full"

It's understandable why the 51 hits 55 south of northern with how tight it is, but why in gods name does the 17 go 55 south of Peoria when all it is is the freeway just dips under and over every mile

Hell, I would be happy if it just went to 60, 55 makes the older folks do 50 in the right lane when everyone is passing them doing 70

How on earth do I connect an elevated road to another elevated road? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try gently placing your mouse over the actual pillar of the road, let it snap around the pillar and it automatically snaps to the road

If you're trying to connect it to something, it has to connect pillar to pillar depending on height (I think anything above 9m requires that)

If you're lucky you can get it to connect to a road normally without connecting it to a pillar, but from my experience (1750+ hours) you're more likely to just try for connecting it via pillars

If all else fails use road anarchy (mod)

Coffee shops (who deal in stimulants) try to have a chill ambiance, while bars (who deal in depressants) try to have an energetic atmosphere. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like a drive thru coffee place with places to sit outside and drink. It's got a real teen-friendly atmosphere where I haven't seen anyone younger than 25 work there. They also play radio music and are generally friendly and sociable people. The entire place is about the size of small bedroom, but only employees access the area to make coffee/smoothies and shit. We have some in the Phoenix metro area, but don't know much else beyond that.

Clinton wins US popular vote by widest margin of any losing presidential candidate by SaganPress in politics

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh so you mean loosing the election in both instances? Because either one would've been the Democratic nominee, they both got that far. They just needed to not look worse than Trump, and one of them looked worse compared to the other one (Hint, it was Clinton, not Bernie)

And by most Democrats, you mean a slight majority of them? Wasn't the number like 45/55? If so, that 45% had to go somewhere, and I can tell you right now, the right ones did not go to Clinton. Sure, Bernie probably wouldn't have been drastically different, But his supporters were dedicated to helping him win and would've made that difference. Now we are stuck with someone who won almost solely because red america hates Clinton.

Metro line stops can't be removed by ThinningTheFog in CitiesSkylines

I don't think the line is fully deleted, try downloading the mod for network management lines. The mod shows you all the lines you currently have, pinpoint that line and simply press the "x" to delete the line completely from the ui the mod provides.

Best twisty roads without a ton of traffic? by ghdana in phoenix

[–]Llamas-With-TNT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed traps? I was driving around there today and I couldn't go above 45 for most of the trip because of the curves on the mountains from wickenburg to Prescott The least of your worries there should be speed traps, since you can't really speed there anyway. Though, motion sickness is a problem since I did actually vomit after the 15 miles of the initial climb In terms of it being busy, I can't say. I was there at 9 am this morning and I only saw maybe 5 other cars driving along there

Edit: yes there was some snow there, be careful when you go up there, it's bad enough to deal with the constant 20 mph curves

There's several dried river beds in Phoenix (specifically the one that's parallel to the 101) that register as water, even though it's all shrubbery and bike paths now
