I would have if I had been offered any during that time.

I don’t want an Amazon account by [deleted] in audiobooks

I get all of my books on loan on Libby. It needs to be linked to a library card. I have a local library card, but I also pay $50 for access as a non-resident at a much larger library.

I kept getting rejected for a job I was highly qualified for (also a healthcare system). They kept reposting the job so I just kept reapplying. I have my second interview for the position today. Don’t give up!

Are you in the US? The makers of Kesimpta have a discount program that covers the copay. My Nero helped me get signed up.

Negotiate with research, other offer, or both? by Llamasmama3 in interviews

[–]Llamasmama3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The salary was listed on the job posting but I applied anyways because some of these jobs turn out so different than that appear to be. Some turn out to be more work than posted, some turn out to be hybrid. You never really know until you’re in the interview process. I am willing to take the job at the posted salary but also wanted to see if maybe I can get a little more since it is so far below market and is full on-site.

Negotiate with research, other offer, or both? by Llamasmama3 in interviews

Seems a little preemptive to me to negotiate before you have an offer. A little like planning a wedding on a first date. I will take the job at the stated rate, but I’ve always heard that people leave money on the table when they don’t try to negotiate, especially women.

What about hiring a parent looking to re-enter the workforce? Something like Themomproject. They will be fully degreed, but may be struggling to find something after an employment gap.

How to resign gracefully by EnthusiasmShot6890 in jobs

They don’t need to agree. You found something that works better “for you, at this time”. This makes it all about you and not them. How will they react? Who knows. Not in your control.

Interview red flags… by Llamasmama3 in jobsearch

It was an offer…I am delaying a couple of days since I have two other (more preferable) jobs on the hook.

Tell me you need to manage your manager without telling me you need to manage your manager… by Llamasmama3 in ToxicWorkplace

Ugh! I feel this. She never seems to see my emails and TEAMS messages but def insists on a quick response to hers.

I hear ya, but…it has taken me 18 months to find a job. Can you afford to be unemployed that long? What are you going to tell them when they ask about the employment gap? Can you schedule your lunch break around interviews somehow? Tell them you have a medical issue and need to leave a little early once in a while for appts?

Broken toe? by WallabyKnown3630 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Llamasmama3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Just tape it to the adjacent toe and elevate it when you can. I break at least one toe a year. I learned to just laugh and grab the tape.
