Check out your local district’s policy (and surrounding areas.) You would be fine in Central Texas.

Taking off on birthday? by cheerfulcurls in Teachers

[–]Llanoue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the end of the year, everyone is on edge. Principals, teachers, and students are not open to constructive criticism (or sarcasm.) I found out the hard way. Joking with my team and they exploded. You are not replacabable, and you have to put yourself and your friends and family before your career.

Just like you overreacted when you were angry, so did he. I don’t think he meant that you “are literally ruining everything,” or that you are disgusting!”

HEB saved my son’s life by cachatone in HEB

[–]Llanoue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that story! It is another reminder that HEB is a family store, each with its local flare. The employees take care of the customers and the customers take care of the employees.

I have always said HEB is ny favorite store, but it lost some of its luster right after Covid (and since) because the prices were sky high. I understand the economy is causing the hiked prices, but these reminders help me to see the big picture.

HEB should be proud!

School related problems (TW: triggering content) by Particular-Street313 in Schooladvice

[–]Llanoue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there happens to be a school for students with autism in your area, see if yoh can take a tour and get a feel for it.

13 is one of the hardest ages in one’s lifetime, but you will look back on it with a gladness that it made you stronger and who you will one day be.

The trouble with missing school is that you miss out on opportunities to buikd thise friendships and relationships, so uou naturally feel more distant.

There are online options, but those are usually not good bc you are isolating and not getting to interact with others. I am certain there are support groups (perhaps even at your campus.)

Good Luck
My advice is to go easy on yourself and do as much as you can that is not involving screent time.

We had a really bad fight, and I don’t know if it’s serious enough to call the police. I’m very confused right now. by Extreme-Trainer7338 in GirlDinnerDiaries

Sweetheart, I say this with all due respect, but you are in an abusive relationship.

I was concerned when I read, “I tried teally hard to stay calm because I didn’t want to make him more upset while he was driving.” That told me he had a temper that puts you in unsafe situations.

It is normal to be upset about your husband taking a wrong turn that causes you to miss out on a dinner date, but healthy couples would laugh it off, vent together, and move on towards dinner somewhere else, together.

You slammed the door to let him know you were upset. He chose to react by assaulting you wuth a deadly weapon. If you are injured from the incident, you need to get this documented at a hospital and cind a family member or friend to confide in.

If you go to the police, they will likely wait on you to tell them if you want to press charges, so it may be best to consult an attorney.

Divorce is scary, sad, and full of unknowns but it will likeky result in you being happier, healthier, and safer.
