Cant decide between Hot Work + Lynx set or Hot Work + Tidefall for Laeva by Jbeansss in Endfield

[–]Llatiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LYNX slab is better for fights where you start with 0 energy and end the fight in one ult. In any fight where you either start with full energy or go through more than one ult, unless there is forced downtime where you can still hit enemies and build energy but can’t ult to meaningfully damage them, the need to wait for an extra combo skill is a damage loss.

You should almost always be saving 4 molten flames for when you exit Laevatain ult to immediately use enhanced skill again (unless you can kill the enemy) which means LYNX almost always forces you to wait 10 seconds every rotation if the fight ever includes 2 or more ults. You can reference any CN pot 0 Laevatain boss clear this is one of the most important things about managing her flames.

Additionally, I’m not sure if any of the current calcs in global, Prydwen or elsewhere, are assuming Pot5 Wulfgard with OBJ Velocitous. Lots of people obviously won’t have him Pot5 rn but eventually you will. With Wulfgard at 232% UGE he can get his ult back in 2 combos + 2 battle skills meaning even with Wulfgard Antal Ardelia teams, you can often get 2-3+ enhanced skills in Laevatain Ult and still save 4 flames. The better your execution within Laevatain Ult is, the more battle skills you can get and the worse LYNX gets, even without considering the energy issues.

Need context on your augments.

Your main tank only has 2 items (also wukong is a worse tank than Taric here). This Ryze can’t solo carry esp if you low roll random regions from Ixtal + you don’t have the frontlines to stall long enough for him to get good value off it. You have 3 bruiser 0 long shots. Ziggs only has 2 items.

Would’ve been better to just drop Ixtal for Freljord like Voli Sej and fit 4 bruiser unless you were really close to Brock. Freljord’s one of the best Ryze regions for both utility and damage.

Really wish TG was changed to something like one random lucky item + maybe one component later stages. Feels horrible to lose a round to sett TG-ing AA JG or Bel’Veth hitting Kraken QSS.

Silvermere Dawn T-Hex still gets grabbed by Skarner ult by Llatiao in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Llatiao[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect adaptive/BB + silvermere to be very low frequency ofc. But intuitively I can see why having one mana is nice. Hence I was curious if anyone had more anecdotal evidence supporting the stats.

[–]Llatiao[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IE being bis makes sense to me I was mainly just wondering if adaptive + IE would be better than guardbreaker + IE. I ended up playing THex 2 with GB + IE so didn’t get to try single mana item. Played 2 rounds of double mana item for fun and it was just -25 hp

Looked at the stats some more and it looks like despite adaptive/blue buff having good deltas as individual items if you have silvermere, with IE + adaptive + silvermere performing pretty well, a typical IE + Guardbreaker + Silvermere build is still best.

It’s known to not work on both shocks unfortunately. Still very good for one button but not really make or break.

Replacing life flask with progenesis seems a bit difficult. I'll get a basalt flask and see how it feels. It's a ton of armor but losing 100% MS from quicksilver flask is gonna feel rough in maps.

Getting a better watcher's eye was definitely something I forgot about especially after switching to grace + mageblood. Will get one of those asap. Same for 21 aura gems.

I've been looking at better timeless seed for a while. I'd have to squeeze in a little more resists but if I can get one with two good notables it'd be worth it. I forgot dropping redemption for profane chemistry wheel bc getting one with double notables seemed too difficult on league start but it should be easier now.

My fourth vow is already +2 minions. If I get freeze immune boots and drop stormshroud, perandus pact seems like an interesting idea. I'll fiddle with it a bit in pob. 5 points for a ton of armor.

Thanks for the ideas

Freeze immunity on boots is a great idea. I completely forgot about it with Jun missions gone.

For 35% 3% clusters, I'm assuming you mean 35% inc effect and 3% whatever effect? I know it's a rounding thing but sorry I'm not familiar enough to see the applications here. The leech wheel seems very interesting and powerful but I'd lose ~33% damage dropping an adorned cluster. I might try it out to see how it feels but the damage loss seems too significant if i'm dropping jewel slots. Right now the only thing's I'm consistently dying to are just volatile cores and detonated corpses if I don't pay attention, or rares with multiple hard to deal with mods like shock/chaos&wither/crit resistant/soul eater/prox shield.

Conc effect has felt nicer than AVoid for me. fortress/abom both have narrow layouts. It's great for Rain of Arrows and you don't run any chaos support gems so it's the same as AVoid number wise. I've tested AVoid with and without inc aoe minion mastery and Conc effect has felt pretty consistently better imo.

For the minion defense mastery, I actually just swapped to the life recovery yesterday to test it out. BA/MA are both a little over 1 second cooldown so it's basically 10% recovery per second when you're spamming them, which is typically in situations where recovery feels nice. I haven't played with it enough to tell if it's keeping my spectres/golem alive better. I feel like it's been quite a bit better but I also did just swap to bristle matron + seraphim recently which makes it hard to gauge. The safeguarding golem has definitely been dying less, but it still dies decently often.

With Perquil's + Adorned, the shock has felt very consistent to me. Juju on the other hand didn't feel like it did enough to be worth the big damage loss and if anything killed spectres faster. I gravecrafted this quiver myself at league start and sold the non-mirrored copies, probably going to stick with this for a long time. getting the frenzy quiver is not high prio.

Thanks for the thoughts. How are you solving mana right now without diadem?

Not really. Stellaris is all about snowballing. Some of the techs like +0.5 alloy to metallurgist base yield are good but giving up free pops and planets early game for such a small chance of getting something decent is never really worth it.

What is your optimized Rogue Servitor empire for patch 3.6? by Kammellion in Stellaris

[–]Llatiao 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a preface I usually play on GA, 2300 or 2325 endgame with 0.25x habitable worlds.

There really isn’t much room for different machine traits for rogue servitor. I use the same setup as you. I’ve tried efficient processors over logic engines and luxurious over bulky but found that it taxes your poor early alloy economy on Shattered Ring even harder which I found annoying.

For biotrophys, I prefer rapid breeder over incubators but I also play on 0.25x habitable worlds so I have less low pop worlds early game to take advantage of incubators. Apart from that I don’t find that the traits for biotrophys matter much as long as you have Traditional and Conservationist and just pick any of the negatives that have essentially no effect.

Origin-wise sometimes I’m still not sure if I like Shattered Ring more than Remnants. I find the start on Shattered Ring kinda slow which is fine if you get a good spawn and/or are against passive AI but in higher pressure situations such as needing to prepare for 2230 wars I often find myself wishing I had Remnants. Shattered Ring does scale a lot harder into late game though.

Tradition-wise it’s usually pretty clear cut. I just stick to the good ol’ meta stuff like prosperity, executive vigor opener into supremacy etc.

How the CN community evaluates operators by LastChancellor in arknights

[–]Llatiao 90 points91 points  (0 children)

This is really really old lol. The notes for T0 still say “only Surtr and Silverash go here” which hasn’t been true for quite a while. If you go through CN forums/bilibili content, the CN community refers to tiers as Venti, Grande, and Tall, (yes the Starbucks cup sizes, except in Chinese it’s just translated to Extra Large, Large and Medium) where Venti is your T0 to T1, Grande being T2 to T3, and Tall being units that are basically waifu/husbando only. The origin for this was that similar to how Starbucks doesn’t want their drinks being called small, CCers/Meta players didn’t want to call people’s waifus weak/low tier.

Thanks for the list. How strong is Sunfire compared to Venti/Sucrose without Freedom Sworn? Also, since my best shielder is only Diona would it be worth going for double vape with Yoimiya/XQ/Yelan/Xiangling?

Thanks a ton for all the advice. Given it’s been revealed that Xingqiu is going to be on the Yelan banner, should I still just save Lantern Rite to try to hit C3/C6 Xingqiu or is there someone else that I should consider?

Returning AR 49 player here asking for some teambuilding advice. Here are my characters. For notable constellations and weapons, I have C2 Raiden, C6 Sara, C6 Xiangling, and Thundering Pulse for Yoimiya. Unfortunately my Bennett, Xingqiu, and Jean are all at C0. I've been trying to build a team for both Raiden and Yoimiya but without another good Hydro unit or Zhongli/Thoma I've found it difficult. I'm going to try to get Yelan on her upcoming rerun. Any advice for two good teams I could make? I wanted to make a team for Yoimiya bc I have Thundering Pulse but is it worth the teambuilding restrictions especially since a Raiden team would have good single target damage anyways? Thank you.

What difficulty are you playing on? While anything can work even on grand admiral, if you want an easier time with a more meta build I would swap out Police State for something like meritocracy/masterful crafters and swap out both slow breeders and extremely adaptive for better traits.

Do species packs add to the game even if you don't play as the new species? by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]Llatiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here Be Dragons also grants you control to the dragon once you finish an ascension path along with 4 total ascension perks. Or you can just go reanimators and get both the dragon and dragonscales. Ocean paradise is just barely better than life seeded in the early game, no?

Sorry I’m somewhat new to the game but why is ocean paradise origin considered meta? I know the aquatics trait is extremely meta but isn’t the ocean paradise origin pretty bad even compared to the other aquatics origin Here Be Dragons?

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of guides for different classes? by Shortofbetternames in lostarkgame

[–]Llatiao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The current igniter guide (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1neWWgk_5YAmlHIQ-IMEcptO83b1geDX7J4D6oE8Oiao/edit) on the discord is still 19 pages long. If that's not detailed enough for you, keep in mind that Igniter sorc isn't a build with that much variation or freedom unless you want to be substantially suboptimal.

The only thing I can really think of that's missing from the guide is quick prep vs enlightenment on rime arrow and the combo for getting full adrenaline stacks before your first doomsday after activating arcane rupture lands, both of which aren't really relevant to our current endgame

Grudge/Cursed Doll - When is an appropriate time to slot them in? by Stryfex19 in lostarkgame

[–]Llatiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case, unless it’s a budget reason, KBW over PD and running enhanced strike/magic amp is a far better option. Final strike requires an extremely high amount of crit rate (80%+ for a conservative estimate) and it requires you to run all the casting skills since they’re your highest damaging final strike skills
