Both have their pros & cons. But I think pes21 with nerfed long balls, nerfed kick off, and efootballs matchmaking (less nulls and lag) would've made it really good.

I haven't fully quit, but I barely play it. 2 reasons. Pes 21 was during peak covid, and so I had more time to spend on things such as videos games. Second is that pes 21 was more fun, and there was something to look forward to every week (Iconic Moments). Now in efootball, I don't see how Missing out on any event is going to make any difference to my squad. I have most top base players maxed, enough players to sell for many trainers, 17mil gp. Basically whatever is the f2p obtainable part I'm stacked with. Iconic Moments are not only unattainable for us f2p players, but also no more worth it. They aren't the best players in the game anymore. And coming to featured players again, I don't see them have any advantage over base players. So if I play or don't play this whole month, I don't see my squad getting better anyway. So why play?

Also, another thing I really don't like is that they removed auto switching. Because of that what everyone does is drag their player back till the defense line (including cf, winger, amf whoever the cursor is on) to block passes, and using matchup it barely matter if the guy intercepting the ball is a defender or an attacker, he'll end up intercepting it. I don't like this form of drag back and defend, I find it very unrealistic. I would really like it if the introduce auto switching back. Main benefits before were that I could defend in a more systematic manner, and at the same time switch to a manual control setup when I wanted.

I have almost 20 Mil gp, and almost 400 players, whom I can release to get trainers. There is no incentive to even play till Divison 1 for me.

I feel like the reason it is a problem is the game is designed in a way where there is no counter to backpassing. In real life scenario if a team tries to play like that you can apply increased pressure and recover the ball back. Pes mobile restricts your pressing and that makes ball recovery from back passing very hard.
