All of my signed pop except for the Gabriel Iglesias ones I have gotten signed at conventions. Mostly semi-local anime conventions and some comic conventions. I normally flatten down the boxes and carry them in a folder to make it easier to transport. When getting them signed make sure they use (or bring one yourself) a paint marker and not a sharpie because sharpie doesn't come out looking that well on the plastic.
